The Real Me

No one knows the pain I hide,
How lonely I feel, and every night that I cried.
I would go to church, smile, and hope no one would see,
That I was not like them, but I was not me.
They say their my friend, but then something changed.
They started treating me like a stranger, as if I was a freak,
All the while not knowing, it was friendship I seek.
Why couldn’t they have been nice, instead of the stares?
All the laughs and whispers, it’s like they didn’t care.

They say you have Jesus, he is all you need.
But what about friendships or was that a lie too?
A drop of blood falls, now my heart starts to bleed,
Do you see the real me, is that the real you?

A friend is a treasure
One many seek to find
I thought I had found one
many a time one who could be mine

They say Jesus is all you need
but what about a friend
That hug you and hold you
i've often wished longed for one too

but all the while i was hoping
I'd find a friend just like you
It wasn't that you're a genius
Or that you're super anything

Except maybe to me
because you didn't walk on by
You didn't wait and see
If I would come to you

It was you who didn't let it be
You wanted to talk
You wanted to be friends
and to me that was the best gift of all

Hang in there Angie... if you want someone to talk to, I'm here if you want.

Shalom, my brothers and sisters.

I have a rather long poem that I'd like to share so, I'll only post a few stanzas:

1. Do you think that to "Heaven" you'll go when you die?
Did you know that "the heaven" means simply "the sky?"
There's a word that Paul used to mean "above the sky"
that was used just a few times. Would you like to know why?

2. 'Cause "Heav'n" is not the end for which we should wish;
Our hope is to be in His Resurrection of our flesh.
God will raise us to life when the Messiah returns;
It should be in His Coming for which our hearts yearn.

3. Yeshua arose from the grave in His flesh;
He could eat and be touched and had skin clean and fresh.
His body God did not allow to decay,
But brought Him to life upon the third day!

4. God made the first Adam a new, "living breather";
His body accepted God's life as a creature.
God made the last Adam a "life-giving wind,"
Breathing new life eternal into those who had sinned.

5. When loved ones stand at the gravesite and weep,
They may have forgotten those in Christ are "asleep";
Someday the alarm clock of God's shofar blaster
Will blow loud and long, waking those from disaster.

6. They'll stretch and they'll yawn and jump out of their beds;
With God's joy everlasting anointing their heads!
Then we'll too be changed into something amazing!
With life everlasting, it's God we'll be praising!

7. He'll rapture the justified into the sky;
With all of the saints, together we'll fly.
Shouts of victory will rise from our lips to His Name,
And we'll praise Him forever and give Him the fame!

8. Through the heavens we'll go, but we'll all take "right turns!"
Forever we'll be with the Lord, but He yearns
For His land and His people who cry out in fear,
And He'll go straight to Isra'el for their cries He will hear.

9. His terrible sickle will swing in His hand;
With vengeance so fierce, He'll fight for His Land!
Out of His mouth will go a sharp sword;
Enemies tremble when the Lion has roared!

10. The Lion of the tribe of Y'hudah is He,
And none will stand to oppose Him, but flee!
They'll run, but they will not outrun His fierce wrath;
His clothes will be stained with an awesome blood bath.

11. He'll chase from Y'hudah those who would pillage,
And free every town, every borough and village.
Then, off to Yerushalayim He'll fly,
And land on the Mountain of Olives close by.

12. The mountain will quake with the touch of His foot,
And will split in the middle as if by a knife cut.
Half of the mountain will slide to the north;
The other half to the south will slide forth.

13. The rift of the vale an escape will provide.
Then, Yeshua haMashiach will go in with pride.
The graves Ishmael planted before the East Gate
Won't stop Him, for the vale will go right through the gate!

14. By His blood He has hallowed and none can restrain,
For He comes in full haste to aid those who're in pain!
Superstitions that somehow a graveyard provided
Will dissolve as the graveyard is simply divided!

15. The gate too once sealed will be torn quite asunder,
As the Lord of God's Army will enter with thunder!
The pursuer himself will become the pursued,
And the spoilers of Tziyon now cower subdued.

16. As Isra'el passes by the Messiah, they'll see
The prints of the nails in His hands and His feet.
They'll ask, "Where'd you get these wounds in your hands?"
He'll answer, "I got them from those I thought were my friends."

17. They'll realize right then what their ancestors did;
And once they've been safely removed and have hid,
They'll gather together, each family apart,
And mourn for their Son from the depths of their heart.

18. With strength never waning and pow'r in His arm,
He'll scour every building, every home, every farm;
He'll purge His own city of those He'll defeat,
And chase them, as through the north gate they retreat.

19. On the hill of Megiddo, they'll think to take stand,
And battle against Him as together they band,
But He and His army will defeat them with ease--
To the bridles blood'll flow, as the Scripture decrees.

20. For two hundred miles (give or take), He will trounce them,
And forever from His conquered Land He will bounce them!
Then the birds and wild beasts to the supper will come;
They'll gorge themselves silly with the meat of the dumb.

21. They'll cart off their bones to pick at them (though sated),
And the nations will sue for His peace (though belated).
He'll judge them by how they treated His people,
Both Israelis and those who have met under steeple.

22. There's no difference now between Gentile and Jew,
When God has grafted both in the Olive Tree's Root.
Outside of the Olive Tree, there's still a distinction,
And Yeshua will judge them, nation by nation....

That's about a third of it. Any comments?

Roy

i watched as the sun dipped into the cool water
its calm serene surface held a secret
the currents within would sweep you away

carry you to deeper waters and pull you under
to enter without caution would not be wise
i entered there once i didn't want to do it again

took me to a place i'd rather forget
the alure of its calm coolness is at times hard to ignore
yet in these waters awaits something

something that would devour you
and spit out to devour you again
till there's nothing left....

i watched the sun set
and looked away.... i walked away
i didn't want to see it anymore

though that place may always call me
i may think of it again....
those thoughts i'd rather not have them

but today i walked away
today i stood firm....
and that's good enough

stars twinkle in a moonlit sky
clouds of darkness start to cover them
a wind blows through

it rushes in
it recks and destroys everything in its path
a whirlwind monster here and then gone

a girl sits watching it all happen
fearing for her life praying for it to be over
when it is a sigh of relief escapes her lips

she looks at the sky
though everything else is recked
she's alive and as the stars pop out

she breathes another prayer
a prayer of thanks
because even in the storm she clung to him

Her Savior Jesus held strong
protecting her from it all
she may have lost much but she gained much more

a faith in Jesus
like never before
because he held her even in the storm

Satan comes to steal, kill and destory but I have come so that you may life and have more abundantly.... (paraphrase version of my own ... from?)
hope you like....

This is the first poem I've written in years. What do you think? Does it make sense?

Depression with God

Nasty,
Ugly,
Bashing
My heart

Heaven
Hell
Good
Evil

God
Can
Help
Me

If
I
Continue
To

Believe
In
His
Sacrifice

And
In
His
Name

He
Will
Carry
Me

In
His
Loving
Arms.

The 1st part is the overwhelming horrible feelings the 2nd part is the struggle between just what is written and the rest in the comfort that God is there and trusting Him to help us through it all. Not great but for the first thing I've written like this in 17+ yrs well it's alright, I guess.

Any comments good or bad will help me expand my writing hopefully back to what it was or better. Thank you.

reason to hope for tomarrow
reason to get through now.
knowing the sun will shine
that it will all be fine.

i think this to myself
like i didn't feel it as if
it wasn't the way it is
that everything wasn't a miss

that i didn't feel
that my reality wasn't real
how could i be so far from you
is it true

reason to hope for tomarrow
reason to get through now
knowing the sun will come again
that it wouldn't be in vain

so i hope and wait for awhile more
just to see what tomarrow might have instore
what will happen who knows
but for this reason hope grows

Okay, before some of you rip me to shreds, just wanted to say that I am a really bad writer. I am actually writing more so it will help me when I take my GRE's. So, please, please, please be nice. :)

This poem is called: Hello Old Friend
Hello old friend
How has life been treating you?
Yeah, I've miss you too
I wonder how you sleep at night
Or what you are thinking of at this exactly moment
Did you get everything you wanted?
Are you nervous about something?
I see you with your sad eyes
Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it
I didn't want this for you
I envisioned more laughter, less tears
I know life doesn't always follow our plans
But give it time, He knows what He's doing
I must leave you now, old friend
Keep me in your mind
For you are always in mine
Good night old friend
Until we meet again

I have yet to read other poems and stories that has been placed here so I am really looking forward to it.

a rustle within my soul

you o whimsical creature suspended above manipulating, controlling, giving life the universe is yours you hold yet i but am a finite speck who has been invaded by your serene being your terrifyinglybeautiful existence

i cower for fear you will find that which long have i kept hidden

how could i ever let you know-

-i wear my heart on my sleeve to cover the scars on my arm

then maybe

if i could give you the wind
and let it carry your burdens away

; if i could give you the stars
and let their light illuminate your darkness

; if i could teach you to fly
and let you leave the past behind

; if i could give you my heart
and let it beat only for you

; then maybe

(this love would mean something afterall)

shadows of memories
days and moments long past
i think of you

our friendship
the joyous times
my dependence on you

all that you meant to me
though I still don't understand
all that I mean to you

i was yours....
we were close....
like a child with her father

even though it was deeper
even though I never comprehend
but i was your creation and you are my creator

i was a child with faith
who loved you.... with all she was
yet time and life have left their mark

i wonder where has that little girl gone
the one who sang
the one who danced without fear

i wonder where has that little girl gone
is she still apart of me deep down
is she still there at all

what i remember most
of those times....
were you and me together...

i wonder now....
will it ever be again...
prehaps closer than before

where has that little girl gone...
