Hi armydude:

I saw your farewell note in the WOF thread, so I appreciate your coming here and making a response.

quote:

I don't watch enough television), he says either the same thing or similar enough that it spooks me.... So, I do agree with you, but when I find something on my own, and then hear that he preaches it, what do you suggest?

If you are worried that what you're learning comes too close to what Creflo Dollar is teaching, then perhaps you either caught Dollar on a day when he was telling 'some' truth and it happened to agree with your conclusions on a certain point [totally possible but it doesn't erase his lies, either], or it could be a red flag that you need to re-examine what you've been learning. At this point, all you can do is separate yourself from those you know to be clearly wrong [false], and determine if there's anything you might have picked up from them that needs to be gotten rid of.

If you decide to leave or take a break from this forum, I just want you to know that it has been a very nice to have these discussions with you [I'm not saying it's always been easy for either of us, but nice nonetheless] and I pray that God will bless your studies.

Side note: If you happen to write back, I probably won't be able to check the forum and respond until Tuesday. Just didn't want you to think I was ignoring you.

Amazing! If these people in the audience of these charlatans actually READ and STUDIED their Bibles, these pulpit pimps would be preaching to EMPTY churches!

Just watched it. Kind of hard to even come up with words for that right now. The only good thing was the comments underneath. There are usually bunches people who rush in and try to defend their fav 'preacher', but this time there were only a few. Most seemed to be clearly disgusted and outraged by the message and saw through it instantly. And there are 17 pages of comments!! I'm glad because maybe some who were on the fence about Dollar now see through him.

Acts 8:19 - 20 (ESV) 19saying, “Give me this power also, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” 20But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!

I've been trying to load that YouTube video, but for whatever reason, my computer hasn't been moving to fast with the youtube videos. I've only so far gotten to see him start introducing the music video he's about to show to his congregation: money's comin??? That alone was gettin me disgusted. I figure maybe it's just as well, judging by the overwhelmingly negative responses on there by the people who've viewed it. I can only imagine the kind of video that dollar showed to the congregation. A rap song about getting money I guess? That's just sad . And sadder still is the apparent response by the congregation .

It's so sad to see all these "christian leaders" today in the state there in.

These are scary times. Scary times indeed.

Like I said in the other thread, what if Jesus were here to ask Creflo to sell all he had and give his money to the poor? Atlanta has one of the worst homeless problems in the U.S. (mostly due to corrupt mayors), but what are the large prosperity churches like Creflo's doing about it?

After watching that video, I am now convinced that Creflo Dollar is not just a false teacher. He, like Benny Hinn are tools of the DEVIL himself!

Actually, I think Creflo only denies the divinity of Jesus for Jesus' first 30 years. Jesus had to grow into His divinity, according to Dollar. I think one of the early videos I posted showed this. There's another video (maybe the same) which says that we are gods. Nothing new, since that's a standard mantra of most WOF teachers, particularly Benny Hinn.

No matter how one looks at it, Creflo is preaching a false christ since the Bible makes it clear that the true Christ came as God in the flesh. There's no getting around that fact.

Which is still a denial that Jesus is God. God does not change. If Mr. Dollar's "jesus" changed from not being god to being god, then that "jesus" is not the God of the Bible. Either Jesus Christ is eternally God, begotten of the Father from eternity, or He isn't God at all.

Dan Juster spoke at our congregation last weekend. (his daughter was getting married) He said him and his wife were on a cruise and docked in a port where dollar was speaking. He had never heard of him but got curious. What he found out shocked him. He looked at his congressional hearings testimony on why he would not submit to the evangelical financial accountability group. (Dan and the whole Tikkun network are members) He said to reveal how he spent his ministries' monies would impede the preaching of the gospel.

Dan said that the Gospel would still go forth just fine but his message of "opulent living" would not.

As though the preachers are above accountability to The Body of Christ for If you have disputes about such matters, appoint as judges even men of little account in the church!

Apparently, there may be a tax evasion issue, as we even have some called to account before the leaders of the congress lately. Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority.

I am more concerned about Creflo's apparent false teachings than I am his money chasing. I have to read him to analyze his works more.

Some of his clips can be found on YOU TUBE. In one he claims Jesus was not God b.c he was sleeping in Peter's boat.

In another he claims that Jesus grew into perfection. He was not perfect until he was baptized and started his ministry at the age of 30. According to the almighty "Dollar".
