I'm sorta new to these forums. I have read through them often but seldom post. I just wanted to say hi to you and tell you to keep the faith. I have been singing SG on a regional level for over 40 years. Yes I qualify for the double nickle thread. I do know that if you keep God in the center of what you do he will bless you more than you can stand. Anyone that wants to sing SG as muchas you appear to deserves the chance to do so. Good luck and if you are ever in Alabama let me know.

Though our ministry is more like local or area, I will tell you that there is nothing like being able to sing with your spouse. We have only been singing duets together for about 11 years, while being married almost 42 years. It has brought us even closer. I hope it happens for you, Tina.

Tina, my Aunt searched for over 5 years full time for her lost brother and sister. After her mother died, her father left and never returned. Her grandparents due to their age and $$ were forced to put the younger kids up for adoption.There were 7 kids in all. Over the years they were all united together but the two twins. They were like 2 years old at the time of the adoption. My aunt became obsessed with finding her brother and sister. She ended up with this huge network of friends all over the world looking for them over the net. After the 5 years or so, she became depressed about it. Long story short, she finaly gave it ALL to the Lord and stopped the obsessed actions. I don't remember how long it was after she gave it to God, but one night they got a phone call. My uncle answered, it was a man and all he said was, is this so and so, and uncle said yes, then the guy asked if they had checked their email. Uncle said no. Then the guy hung up. So my aunt went to check her email, it was from her sister. After many phone calls and emails, they were able to meet. All this after over 30 years apart. Prayers answered.
So Tina, God has someone for you, you just have to trust him. I guess you just have to pray just like the song says, search me oh Lord. Maybe the guy he has for you needs to have his heart right before he sends him along. Maybe now that you are traveling, it is God's way of putting you both in the right location......

Yesterday, we had our first practice using the sound equipment, or, at least, part of the sound equipment. I have been getting my part more and more, and things are coming along nicely I suppose, for a newbie!  The blend I know will come with time.
Next Saturday is our first concert!!!!!
In a couple of weeks, Les is going to help me finish a song I started about 3 years ago. Wouldn't it be great if we can record it???
Les is working on the finishing touches of a new song that he wrote that sounds alot like the barber shop QT. style. I know if you heard it, you would like it!!
That's all the updates for now, unless I think of something later!
