You do not have to like pork to visit Tony's restaurant.
He offers chicken and hamburgers.
He has offers coffee with "free" refills.
The refills are really free and Tony is willing to do that for you.

I don't drink coffee, but I do do hamburgers.

I've never been south of the Ohio river, but if I ever travel as far as his restaurant, I might just stop by.

I don't like pork except for bacon and sausage, and tenderloin and boneless porkchops, and babyback ribs and ham sandwiches.

I wonder if Tony gives free refills on the chicken and hamburger.

Kerrlaw, you will have to stop in and find out for yourself about those refills. I have not had a chance to get there in a while. Work schedule keeps changing. Mrs. C. and I are in Georiga today until Wednesday. Had a Sunday School Class pot luck lunch today after church and then left for Ga. It was snowing when we left home. Cold and VERY windy here in Georgia.
And Kirk and his Krew will be eating at Tony's next Sunday after church. So maybe we will get back there soon.

Being the true Christian that you are showing, you can go to one of the self-service restaurants up and down the parkway, that word parkway coming keeps coming back, for "free" seconds plus a clean plate.
O, the Great One!
While on the subject, I have a question.
At a concert, what part of word do you see in "free-will" offering?
a. free
b. willing

I have been to many ticketed concerts, and a handful of "free" concerts (corporate sponsored where no offering was taken), but I can remember only a couple of concerts where the performers were dependent on an offering for pay. I can't even remember the groups.

I gave what I would have paid if there had been a charge.

Well, I have inhaled solid foods before, but it was not intentional!

Can anyone tell that I don't really like pork?

Pork is like grits, Daniel....
If you don't like it, you just never had it fixed right.

Well, we finally got back to Tony's BBQ today. Another good lunch crowd. And he is still closed on Tuesday's. He has added a Buffet as of today. And Kirk is going to about fill the place up tomorrow after church. He is bringing a large group for lunch.
So have you made your palns to stop in at Tony Gore's Smoky Mountain BBQ and Grill soon? The big sign still says Georgia Pit BBQ with T's info right below that. Did not have a chance to ask when the new sign will be up.
Tried the White Chocolate Cheesecake with Strawberry toppings today. AWESOME!

Received this in Kirk Talley's newsletter today. I think he had ove 60 people to go to Tony's to eat on Sunday:

Sunday Morning we attended New Hope Church of God. And after church we headed for the Pig Palace for a fun time of Ribs, Pickles, and Cheesecake. Tony Gore and his staff did a wonderful job of having things ready for our group, Everyone ( I think) enjoyed the meal and the fun. It was a Great Weekend. There will be pictures on the webpage of the weekend so that you can see what you missed! www.kirktalley.com

I am going to try and find a weekend in the fall to do this again.

All of us Tony Gore fans know how much he likes to cook so we wish Tony the best in this new endeavor.
GOOD LUCK, TONY!

We ate there today and the food was all good, even the Fried Pickles.

Glad you enjoyed your visit to Tony's BBQ. Were you just in the area for the car show or are you from the local area?

Allison Durham Speer and her husband Brian met Kirk talley at T's for lunch on Friday before she sang at the International Banquet at our church Friday night. They both said they enjoyed the food very much. Tony is in Myrtle Beach for Singing In The Sun this week. And the restaurant carries on without him.

Want to see some images of Tony Gore's restaurant?
Thanks to the photographic skills of LaVerne & Glenda Grant, they can be found by going to:

and scroll down about one-third of the way down on the page.

Thanks for moving that post to this thread. Lots and lots of photos there. Took a while to see them all.
Just had lunch at Tony's today with some friends from church. Another great meal. Tony had not returned from Myrtle Beach. He is singing somewhere in our area tonight.

Santa, if you want to delete a post completely, you don't have to edit. You can click the "delete" button (which is by the quote and the edit buttons) and get rid of it entirely.
