ROFLOL husker! Hey I am at the cuddle stage. Can I cuddle even if it's in Hawaii? I need to ask for huskers permission first.

LOL.... well maybe you'll have to just crank up the air conditioner a bit.... so you will be, shall we say, more compelled to keep warm with lots o' cuddling!!!!

Gosh, I should be ashamed! Here I am slacking off at work and butting into other people's business. It's my second day back and I guess I just haven't gotten into the swing of things yet. Eventually I will respond to my remaining 10 emails and tackle this stack of reports, but until then, I would like to be entertained by your life

I really should be ashamed

Now this is truly one of the funniest things I've read in a while! Clearly esq, there's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of here!!!! *ahem* I'd say we're all basically doing the same thing........

Well, hopefully it won't snow TOO much when you are there..

That is unless you want the same excuse to cuddle as Husker gave to me...

Sharon and Brenda I know you have read my blog regularly but this one is for you...and Frank and Judy, this one definitely for you too!

quote:

As she folds the t-shirts in the surf section of the store, it has finally hit her. She realizes that the next time she talks to him it will be face to face. A rush of excitement fills her. Never has she allowed herself to get too excited, lest she would get anxious. Patience has been her friend. Peace has been her confidant. Now it's as if the Lord is telling her, "Go ahead. Be excited! I am with you. Pray." So pray she did.

Driving home all she could think about was whether she would be able to sleep tonight. What kind of lei should I get him? Maile? Cigar lei? Perhaps a cigar lei would do she thought. Then she thought about the one thing that she will dread the most about this visit...the time when he will leave. Then she thinks, "I can't think about that right now. Right now I need to be joyful."

There is nothing worse than to dread that which has not come yet.

Tonight she will sleep well. Her most caring of friends are praying that she does so. Perhaps a good joyful cry is what will put her to sleep. Then, a warmth shoots through her body. No it's not from the humid weather they have been having lately. It's a different kind of warmth...the kind that only God can give when He is comforting you. At last, she can go to sleep.

well..... ya can't deny it IS a good one! For clarification though, coldness is not -- I repeat NOT -- a prerequisite..... as cuddling can and should be done often, in all sorts of conditions, times, circumstances, weather, situations, and places!!!!

I remember it too Trish. And for some reason, when I read it the voice in my head is like a soft, whispering sort of narration. LOL....I think I need some more sleep or something.

OK now, this CW couples meeting leads to a natural disaster thing must be true.

Up until now it has been a warm winter here in the midwest. But now that the ladies from both coasts are heading inland, the weather is going to turn bone-numbing cold.

And I don't head for south Texas until early March.

Oh who knows. I personally know of four other couples.

It's nice to have this thread. Refreshing and hopefully an opportunity to encourage...

John (dawgfan) doesn't post much in singles. We met in the Personally for You forum. We met here in February, got to getting to know each other in May and he made his first visit in October. 35 days till he comes here again.

Tell me about it Gary! Not only did we have an earthquake when John came but it was the biggest one on the record ever! I believe it was a 6.9

How exciting. I hope we have wonderful weather for your visit. Make sure James take you to the beach. I love the beach in the winter. So far the lake edges have not frozen but maybe they will be by the time you come.......it is the most beautiful site. Plus if it is cold enough at night you can see the light beams from chicago shooting straight up to heaven. It is a amazing sight.

I am so excited for you.

Awww thank you Joy!

Out of consideration I have been very guarded about this... probably should
never of made mention.... but I have some VERY sweet friends who are rejoicing
with me...

I am really very concerned about the cold I will confess that to you.

My wardrobe really is not geared toward that kind of weather....

Just pray I do not freeze to death.... truly I am a BIG ole wimp! I wear a sweater, and a jacket when (winces) it is only 60 degrees here.... I was checking temps in Indiana today.....

Well the earthquakes are usually caused by the volcanoes on the Big Island.

Good reason to hit the outlet malls (if they are in the area) with James. Get him to help you pick out a sweater that brings out the color of your eyes.

Brenda....

You may want to invest in a leather jacket then. They keep you very warm and also keep out the wind.

Is there any other color than PURPLE????

Also, sage green works great too.

Yeah we are finally getting more typical winter tempatures.

Around here it is colder then tempature readings due to wind chill factor. The winds blow off the lake and really hammer you. The temp can be 20 degrees but feel like zero due to the wind chill. We also get more snow then the rest of the state due to the lake. Once the cold air begins to flow over the lake we are bound to get some heavy lake effect snow storms.

If you don't have a warm coat just make sure you bring layers. A couple of sweaters will keep you warm. Plus I doubt you will be outside very much........but you have to have him show you some of our natural beauty
