I'm largely just passing on the help others have shared with me. And if an old codger like me can quit, you can too!

ahhh....ok. I have been praying for whoever it was all day, but couldn't remember who it was (and didn't have the time to really search it out). I might not be on much tomorrow (hubby has knee surgery) to encourage you, but I will be praying for you!!!

excellent info Jim...I made your post with the time table on it a public bookmark in case someone later wants to find that info again.

Woohoo, Jordan!

Michelle, how you feeling today. I'm guessing it's about noon where you live maybe earlier. Have you smoked today?

In the interest of helping you guys trick yourselves...try saying to yourself, "This isn't as hard as I thought it would be." I think it's completely possible to believe such things when you say them enough.

HANG IN THERE!!!

http://www.haqur.com/script/SmokeFree/ That's a useful site if you want to keep track of how much money you're saving, and how many cigarettes you're avoiding. Come on guys I'm going into the 39th hour! If I can do it, you guys can! Thanks Jimbo!

Hey cool, you're at 39 hours. How are you feeling, Jordan? Are you keeping busy?

I don't know if you feel the same way, but when people say "If I can do it, so can you" it always really bugged me. Especially men, who on average have much stronger will power, and especially someone who has been smoking for less time than me. Everyone has different levels of will power, so for one person, quitting smoking may be easy but for others is not. I'm not saying you have personally offended me, I'm not quitting for 10 more days, but I know a few smokers who really hate it when people say that, just an FYI.

I'm doing pretty good actually. Also I am sorry about that, it's just that before when I tried to quit it was really difficult, maybe because I wasn't totally concentrated on God. Now I am and it just seems a lot easier.
