Hello Leah, Pengie, Maggie, Marsha, Trish and Becky. Hope all is going good for all of you. It's good to hear that little Garrett is doing better, Leah.

And I'm so sorry to hear about your Maltese, 'Little Bit', Pengie. And your little dog 'Chiquita', BeckyZ. I had a dog that lived for 17 years who suffered seizures during her last few wks. of life. It is so heart breaking to watch them suffer and to have to say good-bye. And Pengie, like you; I think God has a place in His big Heaven for the little critters He created. I imagine that it's outside the gates, cause that area was so big that the angel was told not to measure it! And did you ever read Rev.5:13? Yeah, I can see how God would want His beautiful creatures to adorn the fields of Heaven. He put them here for our enjoyment and I'm assured in His Word, about the lion laying down with the lamb in His Kingdom. Still, death is hard to accept. But what joy to know that it's not the end, but the true beginning.

BTW: We're still busy with what decisions have to be made, trying to get mom situated in what will be the best for her. Please keep the prayer-wheel turning ladies, and I'll do the same for all of you.

Good morning, everyone! . . . good to see you again, Zondie. Please know I'll continue to pray for the situation with your mom. Those were such hard years for us, trying to decide what was best for all concerned. {{{{{{{{{Zondie}}}}}}}}}}}

So how are you all doing, Trish & Pengie? . . . And Beckey, you must show your face more often!

It's just after 5:00 a.m. here and I'm on my way to the sewing room. I've gotten several orders in this last week or so, and I'm finding it so very hard to sew after Garrett goes down for his nap because I'm so in need of a nap then myself -- and my new chaise lounge is beckoning so very enticingly . . . oh have I ever enjoyed that in just the 5 short days that I've had it! In fact, everyone has! The kids all loved it and took turns on it all weekend! . . . even Bill has been on it twice already

Garrett seems to have passed some milestone in just this last week or so . . one of them being that he is not needing so long a nap. He isn't going to sleep until closer to 3:00, tho I've decided to put him in his playpen around 2:00 to give me some down time. That works fine cuz he's always played well in his bed before talking/playing himself to sleep. I keep pretty busy all day, holding and playing with him in between straightening the house, laundry, etc. with him following along behind me. Also, he's started telling me when he's hungry by going to the kitchen chair and trying to pull one out & climb in it -- it is so cute! And it is so good to see him developing the appetite of a normal little boy -- now to just keep enough foods in the house!

Poking my head in again .

Not much going on here. I'm working at nights again for a little bit and it's about all I can do to get a few hours of sleep, get the kid's lessons done and then head back to work at 5. We are getting that much done, though.

Somewhere along the line I'm going to have to go get some groceries. Maybe I'll stop at a Super Walmart on the way home some night. I like shopping when no one else is there.

You sound busy, Beckey. I like shopping at the supercenter during those wee-morning hours, also. We live far enough away from one that it doesnt' happen often, but I have been known to get up in the middle of the night and go shopping

What is this . . . smilies wars?

Hi Zondie, hi Beckcey, Leah and Denbert.

Leah, glad to hear Garrett is doing so well. I bet he does keep you busy. I knew you'd be glad you bought that chaise!

Zondie, it saddens me to hear of your dog that began to have seizures just before dieing. I'm afraid that's where we are headed with Little Bit. The vet ran tests on Tues, but haven't heard back from them yet. Even the vet said this could be the beginning of the end for my sweet puppy. (I call her that even if she is 13)
Have been and will continue to pray for you and your mom.

My order of Women of Faith Bible studies came in today. Now I am torn between wanting to do Bad girls of the Bible and starting one of my new studies . It's a delimma. They all sound so good. .The new studies are short, which makes them appealing to me right now. I'm not really into Bad girls enough yet to be committed. I somehow fell like I need to shorter studies for now, yet hate to give up on Bad Girls so quickly. I can always do Bad girls at another point in time when I feel more drawn to it . . . hmmm.

Hey everybody.

How am I doing? In a lot of pain at the moment. Have taken some strong painkillers that will hopefully let me get to sleep better tonight. My shoulders, arms and back are really causing problems. Going to see if I can get a referral for some help when I see the doctor next.

Glad to hear that Garrett's appetite is so much better.

Trish, I'm sorry you're not well. I'll be praying for you.

I have news about Little Bit:
The vet called with Little Bit's test results. It seems that whatever is causing her seizures is in her brain. In older dogs it isn't epilipsy. it is likely an infection or a tumor or some other malady. We are going to try steriods and antbiotics to see if we can rule out infection or inflamation. Otherwise it comes down to as the vet said " quality of life " .
My poor little faithful friend.

Pengie, I really hope the antibiotics and steroids will get 'Little Bit' back to health. My little 'Shih-tzu is on steroids and a fluid pill for his enlarged heart. He also has fluid around his heart (the reason for his coughing). He'll be 14 in November, I've had him for 13 yrs. now. Although we've been told that he's had a 'good' life, we're already dreading the day we'll have to say good-bye. He still acts like a puppy on the days he feels good. This little fella has brought so much happiness to our family! And he follows me everywhere I go (limping with arthritis with every step). I've already decided not to get anymore 'inside' dogs when something happens to this one. It's just to heart breaking for us to have to lose them. Besides, I'm not as able as I use to be to give them all the attention and care they deserve. Anyway, all the best to 'Little Bit' and I hope you're feeling better too. God's blessings sent your way!

GOOD MORNING, LEAH. I'M GUESSING YOU'LL BE UP SOON!

GOOD MORNING, ZONDIE!! Yep, I've been awake since 4:00, but just moved to the chaise & turned the Waltons on thinking I'd go back to sleep. I didn't . . . so now i'm dressed and getting ready to leave for the gym, but I really am thinking I could use a nap first

You guys talking about your dogs sure makes me a bit apprehensive about my own little house dog. Samson is not quite 6, but I know I will have to face losing him at some point also, and I know it's always so hard. Pengie, I pray the steroids and antibiotics will work for Little Bit. I'm so glad you were able to keep Oreo. He will be a big help to you when the time does come to say goodbye to Little Bit.

I babysat Garrett yesterday at his house because he was really sick. Poor fellow tried so hard all morning to play, and just didn't have the energy. He couldn't keep anything on his stomach, so I spent most of the morning cleaning up after him and changing him. In the afternoon, tho, he got to feeling much better, and it was so warm outside -- 70+ -- so we took a short walk. He was thrilled to be out, but had a bout of diarrhea before we got home.

When I changed him, it had apparently burnt his little legs where the in the diaper was rubbing him, so I wound up putting him in the bathtub, not only to clean him up good, but to allow the water to soothe his burning legs. I let him play for a while, but he really got chilled before I got hm dressed, and I realized the fever probably wasn't all out of his body. I got him lathered with lotion, ointment for his legs, and even some powder, and then dressed as quickly as possible. He was definitely ready for his nap when put him in his crib with his favorite 'blank-y' . . . then I promptly hit the sofa for a short nap myself. it was a rough and exhausting day for both of us.

After work, I went to the grocery store and did some shopping. Got some smoked pork chops for supper, and talked Bill into fixing them with eggs, potatoes & toast when he got home shortly after I did. Tonight I'm planning on a chicken enchilada dish -- got the ingredients I need for it last night.

Leah, sorry to hear that you and Garret had such a rough day yesterday. Hope he gets better quickly.

Zondie, I'm sorry to hear about your little dog. I understand how you feel. Little Bit follows me everywhere, too ( and so does Oreo - it's like a train ) The vet suggested I switch Little Bit to canned dog food now to try to entice her to eat. So I went out and bought "Blue" brand. It's holistic and new and was written up in Martha Stewert Magazine. It's made with human quality ingedients. Well it did the trick. Little Bit ate every bite . Now maybe she'll stop losing weight. ( She only weighs 7lbs to start with!)

Sounds like Samson should have several good years left , Leah. I wouldn't get worrid just yet. But I would enjoy him while I could!. You're right about Oreo, he will be a help to me in many ways. At 80lbs, it will be hard for him to turn into a little lap dog though .

Hi everybody.

Going to bed in a few minutes, but just wanted to say hi.

Still feeling sore and tired today. John talked to Joan's physiologist about getting some help for me. She seems to think that she can help me with some exercises. I'm just scared that I'm going to end up in more pain than I'm already in. The physiologist floated a thought past John that we're going to talk to the doctor about. She seems to think that there's a possibility that I have fibromyalgia. It would certainly explain some of my health issues. We'll see what the doctor says about it.

Trish, I sure hope you get better soon and that is not what it is!

Little Bit's health continues to decline. She has weakend to where she can no longer jump up unto the couch or into my lap. She must be lifted. She struggles with the back outdoor steps to go potty. I am pampering her all I can. Good canned dog food, her favorite treats (pupperoni), and of course she sleeps with me every night just as she always has.
Do you think God has time for prayers for little white dogs? If so, could you send one up for Little Bit? Thanks .

My hubby blew out a tire by hitting the curb on Sunday. He was out running an errand for me , so I feel partly to blame. He got two new tires Monday morning before going into the office.
His birthday is the 16th of this month. I ordred garden stepping stones for the front garden he began last Spring. Each stone has a Godly theme or Bible verse on it. They are beautiful. They're not all here yet, I have to try to smuggle them in without hubby catching on .

I think our teenage guest is moving out today. He hasn't said a word to either myself or my hubby, but told my daughter his plans. He finished his High School diploma about a month ago and now has a good job. Apparently, he has rented an apartment with his cousin. He has never bothered to say thank you for us letting him stay here and eat for free for over 2 months while he finished school and got his feet on the ground! I will be disappointed if he moves out like a thief in the night!

Yes {{{{{{{{{Pengie}}}}}}}} I do think God has time for prayers about little white dogs, and I'm sending one up. It must be so hard to go thru that. Please know I'm praying for you also.

I think your husband will be pleased with the stepping stones -- they really are very pretty.

Hopefully, your guest won't do you that way, but if he does, it's on his head. You did your part -- the Christian thing, just as Jesus would have done.

I rec'd a big sewing order today, and it sounds like Garrett may be late coming to me tomorrow as his Grandma and Grandpa are up for a visit, so in the morning early I will get started on my sewing again. Will need to do a bit of cleaning on my room before I can do that, tho.

My husband discovered I spent $$ on his birthaday and is threatening divorce again.

Our guest moved out last night. Right in the middle of my husband's tirad. Our guest didn't have the nerve to say goodbye, what with my husband screaming at me that I am useless and a waste of skin and do nothing for him, or and let's not forget the part where where he said he hated me. The poor kid never stood a chance to say thank you. Oh well.

{{{{{{{{{PENGIE}}}}}}}}}}} . . . I'm so very sorry you're having to go thru this with everything else you have to face. I'll be praying that somehow the doctor realizes what is going on and is able to help your husband. And I'll be praying that God gives you strength and peace thru this.
