That is a wonderful song! I can't wait to get the new cd, and I'm looking forward to the new dvd too. Unfortunately I won't be at the Celebration, but they said the DVD should be available at some christian book stores, too.

It should also be on their website soon.

Noticed on SouthernGospelReporter.com's Front Page player that it has the first single off of Legacy Five's upcoming God's Been Good project, "Hello After Goodbye." According to a recent L5 newsletter, it is a tribute to the late Roger Bennett, written shortly after Bennett's funeral by Jim Brady of the Booth Brothers.
Very good, powerful song. I can see it making at least Top 5 on the charts. If it's any reflection of the rest of the project, this is gonna be a good 'un, folks. Their last release, Know So Salvation, was good, but not great. Although, it seems it was good enough to make the Top 5 in the Fan Awards this year....
Go over and give the song a listen!

Thanks for letting us know about this Arron! I loved the song. It had to be a tough one for them to do....

I loved Know So Salvation, would rate it high on my list!

I want to buy it directly from L5. I am taking advantage of that by listening to the song again. Thanks, Daniel!

From their last newsletter:

4 new products to be released at Memorial Day Celebration...

At this year's Memorial Day Celebration, Legacy Five will introduce an unprecedented number of new projects... first there's the new Daywind CD release, "God's Been Good" featuring that signature song from Tim Parton and several other great new songs. This CD also features a very special song written by our good friend, Jim Brady of the Booth Brothers titled "Hello After Goodbye"... the song celebrates the joy of knowing we'll have a "blessed reunion" in heaven with our beloved Roger Bennett.

Then there's the brand new DVD, "Live at the White House"... theatre, that is... in Branson, MO... not the one in Washington D.C. where the President lives! This new DVD features songs from the "Know So Salvation" CD and some other favorites like "Walk With Me" and "Somebody Sing".

Finally, there's the long-awaited book and CD set tribute to Roger Bennett! The book is titled "Hello After Goodbye" after the Jim Brady song... you'll read about Roger's courageous battle with leukemia from the perspective of his Legacy Five family, and on the "A Tribute to Roger" CD you'll get 16 songs the group recorded over the past 8 years that featured Roger... and this special book and CD set is just $20!"

You know what? Every Labor Day and Memorial Day Reclaimed sings at Eby's Pines Campground. I'd have to dis my group to come!

Edit: I REALLY DO wish I could be there at least one time! It would have been optimum when Roger was still alive, but can't be upset over that now.....

Last September when my son and I went to Celebration I didn't think we were going to get there before the first concert started so this time I had to change my work schedule around so I can leave early on Friday morning (7:00am) and get there in plenty of time. Normally I work nights and was scheduled to work Thursday night. I switched with someone and worked days yesterday so I can have tomorrow night off. I do have to work tonight but that is no big deal.

I think it will be a lot of fun!

Wouldn’t it be great if all us L5 FANS could organize and plan to go to one of these together? I've never been but me and the wife are want to really, really bad. Those who do go, which one do most of you go to...Labor Day, Memorial Day, or both?

I've been to both, and I prefer the Memorial Day Celebration. I like the fact that it starts on Friday and finishes on Sunday afternoon. By the time we drive home, we STILL have a Holiday (Monday) left. It also seems like there's a bigger crowd on the Memorial Day version. And seems like Ken Davis has been there on Memorial Day, but not on Labor Day (this could be just the years we've gone). We really like his humor and his devotions/sermons. I like the Spring/early Summer temperature a lot better than the sweltering Labor Day heat, too.

Having said all that, I would definitely go on Labor Day if I couldn't go to the Memorial Day shindig. (I did both one year and that was too much for me!)

Hope this helps! And YES, it would be wonderful if a WHOLE BUNCH OF US could be at one of these. We had a Forums "get together" once and I got to meet about 4-5 other posters. That was neat.

This will be the second one I have gone to, with Labor Day last year being the other one. That one had more artists perform during the weekend than this one does. This one has two comedians and fewer artists. Also, the Labor Day weekend includes a show at the Grand Ole Opry (with L5 performing there) and this one doesn't.

The only change I would suggest is to eliminate the morning concert on the second day of the event. Move those artists to the evening and have a longer evening concert. That way, those who want to go sight-seeing (like me) would have most of the second day to do so.

Donna, we need to set something up so we can meet while we are there. Chances are you will find me and my son hanging out somewhere near Frank Seamans in the lobby before the concerts!

We are considering going to the Memorial Day concert next year.

It would be hard to give up Family Fest, as we have been attending there since the mid-90s.

Oh man! Either one of them would be fine with me!! I agree with Donna about the Monday off thing (Memorial Day). That seems like that would work out better! I sure would love to meet the whole L5 clan! Oh yeah, and the group again, too.

Edit: Oh yeah, and a GREAT BIG FAT HUG AND A THANK YOU to my friend James (armydude)!! I Finally have my L5FanLady Tee!!! YAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!

It would be nice if all of us L5 fans could meet up down there sometime. The thing is, I will probably only go to the Memorial Day weekend Celebration from now on. The reason for that is that I am planning to make NQC my annual September event starting in 2009. It would be difficult to work out vacation time at work for two different September events every year.

Not to change the subject, so please feel free to continue with the previous subject, but....

I am listening again to the song "Hello After Goodbye," and I am wondering if Scott F. is going to be able to compose himself when he sings this song live....? It's a good song!
