That's what happens when you use templates! Anybody notice that the new L5 website doesn't have a link for contact info, like the office phone number etc...unless I am missing it. They also removed their email addresses from the bio page.

I just had to comment, WOW!!!! This is from L5's eletter. I just got a whole new respect for these guys. I can't sing, don't want to sing, shouldn't sing, but I know good singing when I hear it. But, WOW!!! Just wondering what were some other opinions.... Here's this week's L5 Q&A... this one comes from Marjorie Moran and it's another question about L5's newest member, Tim Parton... Marjorie asks "I enjoyed your concert at Green Acres Baptist in Tyler, Texas very much. I looked forward to hearing Tim Parton. What an outstanding fella'. When he sings with the quartet, what singing part does he add to the lead, tenor, baritone, and bass? Sure sounded great!?" Thanks for the question, Marjorie... first of all, Tim is a very talented musician and singer. The great thing about having someone with Tim's musical ability in the group is that we can sing some really intricate close-harmony arrangments... that's because he can add the really hard-to-hear and sing vocal parts. You'll notice on the two newest L5 projects that there are several songs with some very complicated vocal chords being sung... like on "Know So Salvation," "Why," and "We Need a Little Christmas"... to give you the technical side, these are mostly basic four-part vocals with an added 2nd, 6th or 7th to the chord. These parts are usually hard to hear and sing because they are "right next to" the basic 1st, 3rd or 5th interval being sung by the quartet. Tim has the vocal range and ability to sing those complex "extra" parts, floating in between the baritone and lead at times, then the lead and tenor, etc... and he can do it while playing the piano accompaniment, too! Once again, we're very thankful for Tim's talent and what he adds to Legacy Five... he's even been coming out of his shell and telling a few jokes lately!

ORIGINAL: L5FanLady Now all ya need is cable or dsl and you would be set! I can always count on you to dump a bucket of salt in my wound!!! old running joke folks! Seriously, I think I am taking a new job on Monday and one of the first things I am thinking about doing is just that. Please pray that my meeting goes OK Monday at 10am with the mayor and councilman at large. The job is for City Historian. I am very nervous about taking a job like this, I worry I am not up to it. It doesn't pay much, but it is something. Its one thing to hang out and be on staff of our historical society, but being a "minor" city head is something else. When the mayor called me on Tuesday I was not going to take the job. But then on Wed all my friends at the archives are pushing me to do it. Now, I know that is not a reason to accept. But later I was seriously considering so I started praying for an answer. Then on Thursday I had some desk work to do so I put in L5s first CD. Loving it as much as ever, up comes Glen singing You gotta go Stepping Out On The Water, you got to get out of the boat, leave the shore and come out of the safety of your comfort zone, you'll never learn how to swim if you never get wet, so launch into the deep and put your faith to the test, and go steppin out, steppin out on the water , and TRUST the LORD. So I guess that is God telling me something. I have not listened to that CD in a while but just found myself playing it. Just pray that doors that should be opened are and if not that it gets slammed shut. Any thoughts?

If it is not for me, at least I would have done a few good things for the City and made a few $$ I think I need to come out of my comfort zone. Trusting God, doing public service and making money all rolled into one activity? How could you possibly go wrong? God bless your endeavor. zzzzzzzzz

There is a little more to it than that. Small town politics is on the top of my list. There have been many problems in the last few years. Another thing is I am a conservative and city hall became Dem controled. So wish me luck. The councilman at large just won by two votes. Funny thing how he becomes an election time Christian! A friend of mine was telling me he had been showing up every Sun and insisted on being head usher. The week after elections he wasn't in church....
