Hi everybody. I hope you don't mind if I don't fill you in until tomorrow about what's been going on. I really should be in bed as we've got to be up early so we can try and spend as much time with our friends before then leave in less than 24 hours. To say the time has been exhausting for all off us would be an understatement. Mentally, physically, emotionally... Bailey has been run off his feet, which he's loved every minute of. I think he's looking forward again though to just some family time. He got some of that tonight as John took our friends back to their apartment after we'd all gone out to dinner.

Please keep praying. We've not said a lot about the family difficulties, but they know we are praying, (John, Joan and I). They know where we stand in terms of our relationship with Christ. We were asked if the subject of the family difficulties only be brought up once, which we did. We left it to them to bring it up and haven't made any attempts to have further conversation about it. It's hard knowing that they are trying to deal with things without Christ.

There's more to say, but it's really late and I need to head to bed. I'll talk to you all again later.

Hi Trish. Are the leaves changing color yet? Autumn is such a beautiful season here in Massachussetts (though it's our spring now). Is Autumn pretty there?

Hi Rach, Deb.

Deb, no, I don't think it's pretty here in autumn. The leaves just turn brown and horrible. If we had some maples or something around the area, it would be a different story. I love maple trees. We do have some bulbs starting to come up in the garden. We have some irises. The other flowers haven't started flowering yet. Hopefully not too long now.

Rach, we really do love the friends that came. They have a really special place in our heart. It near broke our hearts to see what the daughter of the family in particular was going through. We didn't ask her questions about it unless she initiated. Their family has been very anti God, even though they know where we stand in terms of our relationships with God. Those that believe in UFOs still believe in them, no matter what we say to them about it. When the daughter came to us though, so broken, we told her that we would be praying for her, her children and the situation that they are in. She just sobbed and sobbed and sobbed. She told us that she needed that. She said that she feels safe with us, and as soon as she gets back to Wales, she's going to start saving her pennies so that she can come back because she needs to be here. She knows that there's something different here with us. She needs the peace that she doesn't have right now. She's very fragile and also more open to the Gospel. We wondered how we were going to reach through to the family about Jesus. We think that it may be through her. She has a missionary friend over in Wales, so we will be building on what they are doing with her, or vice versa. In any case, we just want to love and reach her and her family.

Sorry I hadn't answered your posts earlier. I had planned on it, but I kept falling asleep at the computer before I got to my thread.

I'm going to have to go back to bed soon. Joan's sick with a cold, and the way I've been feeling since yesterday, I'm sure I'm coming down with one too.

Oh, I did do a blog entry for those who are interested. What I haven't said here is that I went to see the specialist earlier on in the week about the possibility of me having fibromyalgia. He doesn't believe that fibromyalgia exists. He just said that I was suffering from stress as soon as I mentioned fibromyalgia. Unless he can see the results on some kind of test, he doesn't believe that it exists. He realises there are people like me who have pain etc, but won't call it fibromyalgia, or chronic fatigue if that's what they have. He said that half of rheumatologists don't believe in fibromyalgia either, and they're the ones that are supposed to diagnose it! The specialist is going to be running a barrage of tests on me, however, even though he doesn't think that they'll find anything. Fun, fun, fun. I think there's something like 23 tests, some which have tests included in tests, plus hand xrays. Mercifully, because of the cost, he's waving the bone density scan for now.

He certainly isn't the best doctor for you, Trish. Obviously, he won't take you seriously! Can you get a different doctor? You're going through enough pain as it is--you don't need a doctor who thinks you're making it all up!

I'll let him run the blood tests as some of the tests are ones that a rheumatologist would run anyway. Initially when I walked out of his office, I just thought that I should just try and find a rheumatologist who would take me seriously. I'll see what these tests show, if anything before figuring out what to do next.

This morning at church, I asked a friend if she knows of any doctors that diagnose and treat fibromyalgia, thinking that she has it. (She has lupus, not what I thought). She has some friends who've been diagnosed and treated for it here in my city, so that might be helpful if I really can't get any help from the current specialist.

There are lots of doctors in the U.S. that don't believe fibromyalgia exists either.

I know it exists too. I have friends who have it and know of others who have it also.

Rach, I thought that kitty looked familiar. ROFLOL!

Have had a really quiet day today. Didn't go to the gym as I wasn't feeling up to it. Joan has a really nasty virus, and she reckons that I'm a day behind her in terms of symptoms. Add to that the pain of fibro, and I'm not a happy camper. Hopefully I'll be better soon.

I slept well...but I (almost) always sleep well. If I am not sleeping well then there is a problem.

Hope you're okay, Trish, and not in a lot of pain. I'm praying for you. Also, I hope you haven't caught Joan's bug. If you really do have Fibromyalgia (as I suspect you do), I'd imagine getting a bug would be particularly rough on you.

Again... (((Trish)))

None of us truly understand what's going on in our lives. I believe if they think they do then they are mistaken. So, when we shake like a leaf, we must remind ourselves that He HAS been King of our glory, and He IS our Prince of Peace.
