Hmmmmmmmm, the how to be in the world, but not in the world question. Makes my head

I'm finding that the more and more grounded and confident you become in your beliefs and trust in God, the easier it is I think. If we are insecure or unsure and undecided then it gets harder to stand against much that the world offers in the negative. Remembering too that the things we do should be to please God, and not to do things to make ourselves more acceptable to those who don't really care what God would have us do.

That's my immediate thought anyway.

(((((Darcy))))) I don't know the whole story yet on your feet yet, but will be praying for you.

I like this answer...

Congrats on reading 40 pages of Prince Caspian!

I'm exhausted. I started volunteer work at this hospital near my house. It was fun, but the lady (she was very nice) asked me to revamp the whole filing system. That was a lot of lifting and moving around. I was really tired afterwards. The lady in charge of volunteer services asked her to slow down.

I get a free lunch! That made me happy.

Now I have to make sure I eat healthily.

DebbieLynne:

Some of our friends just got back from taking some of the church "utes" to Boston.

They had a good time and did some charitable work for a school. We told them to go down to Plymouth for a lobster roll, but they decided to get them at Shaw's supermarket.

They liked them though.

Hey, Deb!

The feet have improved a little.....I bought some Teva sandals yesterday, and the wounds can breathe and start healing better. Plus, the swelling has gone down and that means the blisters have subsided as well. Nothing infected, and I should probably just lose 4 toenails.......

Yeah, there is a story behind that. I'll try to get it written sometime in the next 24 hours.

My daughters tell me that toenails grow back pretty well.

I'm glad the blistering is going down on your feet, Darcy. How are the hives going?

Teva Sandals are great. Pricey. I guess you get what you pay for.

Glad Darcy's swelling has gone down, but I'm still concerned.

Kerr, I've only had a lobster roll at Papa Gino's, which probably isn't much better than Shaw's. Too bad getting to Plymouth is so difficult for us. We have a friend with a wheelchair van who takes us on outings once a year, so we visited Plymouth with her several years ago. This year, we hope to visit Concord and Lexington.

I had to shut my computer off while a thunder storm went through, so I couldn't say hi back to you right away. How are you, Sue?

We've got storms going by us... about 50 miles east of us to be exact.

Well don't send them north, James. VBS starts in an hour, so we can't afford storms till all the kids are safely home.

Praying the storm holds off for VBS.

I'm fine. Experimenting with very spicy Weight watcher's recipes while Merv is gone. His stomach can't handle garlic, onion and hot spices. Joe is loving it because he likes the spicy stuff too. I just spent an hour wrapping little meat pies in won ton wrappers, and he and his friends devoured the first cookie sheet of them in seconds. I'll probably modify the recipes if I make them for Merv. The downside is that I now reek of garlic. Guess I won't have to worry about vampires while hubby's gone, or is it werewolves?

..... this is a huge realization.... once we can wrap our heads around this - life becomes easier.

I think we keep expecting our lives here on earth to be wonderful and care-free.... but in reality, our care-free lives are waiting for us in heaven....

Slushie!!! You are volunteering at a hospital??? How coolacious!!!! Way to be!

Darcy.... I think all us shoe-minded girlies may need a link to see your Teva's!!!
