Deb, hi. Be sure to take time off your bottom. Are they going to repair your wheelchair?

Hiya, folks!

Deb, J and Sweetums are only in town for a couple of days.....his mom has a nice income, and paid for them to come home for a few days, but J has to be back at work on Saturday (she teaches dance to kids on Saturdays). So, I had dinner with them last night, and I will have an early lunch with them tomorrow before they have to go to the airport. Their flight leaves at two......sigh!

But at least I got to see them. I'm grateful, 'cause otherwise it would be July before I see her again.

Hi Deb!

Darcy, I saw the pictures of J and C on another thread. They are both so beautiful! I'm glad you got to spend some time with J.

Wow...I feel loved! Thanks for all the posts.

I spent much of today playing with Paint Shop Pro. I actually fixed a tool in there that I had broken sometime last year, so I'm feeling pretty smug. I created a silk texture that I can now use in a variety of ways. So now I'm getting inspired to create more things!

Marsha, the paperwork on both our chairs is being processed, so it's just a matter of waiting. I think my chair will be fixed in a couple more weeks. Meanwhile, my sit-spot is improving, praise God.

Hi Mike.

God knows what He is doing in so many ways. He also knows what He is saying to us in His Word.

He says we're members of a Body (the Body or Christ, if I remember right) and that we're members of one another (I really like that verse).

So..it turns out that it is good and even usually feels good when we get in touch wtith one another. It's also good to meet and get to know one another (in person or online). After all, we're going to spend eternity together, so why put off getting acquainted?

Thanks everybody for both becoming friends with my darling Deb and for taking the time to enjoy her friendship. She is a really neat person and I don't mind that others get to know that, too. I'm the one to got to marry her, so I get to enjoy being her happy hubby every day.

Have a great day, everybody.

Ain't he sweet?

Okay, we need a topic in here! Other than chocolate, please. That's the current topic in Kristin's thread, which is fine. But I can't have chocolate.

So, I'm trying to come up with a topic, but I'm drawing a blank. Any ideas out there?

Maybe we could discuss what makes a PFY thread interesting. For me, it's when people start sharing their thoughts and feelings on various issues, or when they talk about what the Lord is doing in their lives. Of course, banter and humor are fun, too.

Hi Deb and John, you need to see what they put up where the Central Artery used to between Surface Road Artery and Atlantic Ave, but especially near the Boston Harbor Hotel! They have this dancing water thing that is really cool!

I don't go into many PFY threads. I've wondered if there are general rules about posting in them, or is it up to the person who started the thread to say what is acceptable, or on topic for the thread?

If it wasn't for my back acting up, I would go take some pictures. Come to think of it, I may have a couple from last year when they were still working on it as well.

Sue, I think as long as no one violates TOS, we can talk about anything in PFY threads.

Dancing waters sounds interesting. If you get there, be sure to post pictures.

Joe and I loved the pictures by the chalk artist. It was a good study on perspective.

Has anybody else seen the movie Enchanted?

It is an animated/live action Disney movie that draws from a great many other Disney movies and has a lot of fun doing so.

Deb rented it and was sure she would like it. I thought I would enjoy it but it turned out that we both loved it. So much so that if nobody gives it to us for Christmas we'll give it to ourselves.

I've heard of it, but haven't seen it.

We just got The Waterhorse; Legend of the Deep from Netflix. It was one I wanted to rent, but Joe's not too excited about it. I hope it's good.

Nope, Mike, this one is the typical story of the fair maiden who lives in the forest with the helpful woodland kritters who dreams of meeting her prince charming. She does. And would have gotten married right away but the wicked stepmother does something even worse than put her into a deep sleep. She pushes the dear girl all the way down into the real world of animals that can't talk and people who don't always live happily ever after!

A fun movie.

Well, Mike, there were at times that I wondered if this would have a good ending. But I did like the ending. And that's all I'll say about the ending because I wouldn't want to spoil it for anybody. But I for one was quite satisfied with how it all turned out.

Real young kids should probably stick with the standard G rated Disney movies (although I still can enjoy them from time to time, as well). But older kids (like me) might well enjoy this new story.

Not really, Mike. It's a feel-good movie, and quite cleverly done!

The musical songs and dances in the real world portions of the movie are only part of the fun. It is a great movie. Lots and lots of fun.
