Hello there Joy!

It was an interesting type of conference. It was mostly "lightweight" and, as expected from knowing who was on the docket, there was a lot of humor. Tammy Trent shared her heart-rending personal story. Max Lucado shared the subject of one of his books, finding your sweetspot. The music of Avalon was wonderful.

Wow!! It sounds like you had a very good time. I've only seen Max Lucado on TV, but I would safely guess that he has a "down to earth" personality in person.

Our next men/women conference (2nd annual) will be coming up this year in Sept and I'm truly looking forward to it...if I'm still here in Holland; even if I'm not, I'll take the drive back here to attend.

Hi everybody. Have you got a busy day ahead?

Hi Pammy & Trish!

I've brought yours forward, Trish in case others don't get to look back a page. Yes, a busy day, praise God! This morning, writing a couple letters, then my mom's dr. appointment, then this afternoon finish getting a bunch of typewritten letters out to churches and some routine stuff. Don't know about this evening, but I really need to get to do some reading which I have badly neglected the last couple weeks, and there's the eternal merry-go-round of trying to get caught up on the house.

Yes, it was good, Pammy. Men and women, now that sounds great. Where might you be if you'll not be in Holland? Yes, Max Lucado is very down-to-earth.

So, like Trish says, what's going for today?

Hi, Joy! Today I will put in an application to work at the movie theater, and then I will go over to Staples to put in an application there. My nephew told me they have openings there.

Hi, Dena and Trish!
Way to go, Dena!
Thanks, Trish. I got it from an avatar site.

Music was on my mind this morning. Not the beautiful intricacies of great classical compositions, but a pure and simple, lilting flow of life. It's like God said to think on music, so I looked in Psalms and it was Psalm 96:1 that brought forth this symbolism.
Now, my daily reading is in Romans, which is quite different. So I thought to take that Psalm as my reading for today. But no, it was back to Romans where I was reminded that we inherited guilt from Adam. Now that's a contrast, the beautiful lilt of God's life and the awful guilt of sin. And God has replaced that guilt with His life, without any help from us. Let the music play. What do you say?

Good morning Joy!

How are you doing on this fine Tuesday?

Yes, it was good, Pammy. Men and women, now that sounds great. Where might you be if you'll not be in Holland? Yes, Max Lucado is very down-to-earth.

So, like Trish says, what's going for today?

Well, if I don't get a job here in Holland or Germany, I'll be back in the states. It's all in God's hands.

As for what's going on today, we just finished with our Priority Placement Briefing and the Rep is now registering each civilian in the program, so as soon as that person is finished, I'll be next in line. I also had my lunch early just in case.

Yesterday, a small portion of my tooth broke and I'll need to go to the dentist to get it fixed. I'm not too thrilled about that, but I have to get it done. My coworker gave me the phone number and address to a local dentist that speaks English, so as soon as my registration is finished, I'll be giving him a call to make an appt. Other than what I've mentioned, nothing else is going on as of right now.

Oh, before I forget, I LIKE your avatar!

Hi, Pammy and Dena,
Yes, all in God's hands, Pammy. What do you really prefer and have you done the registration yet? Hope you can get that tooth fixed soon. Oh, and stop eating rocks, OK? Thanks re: the av.

Joy! Hey girl! How are you today? Seeing two friends today and for one of them, I am hoping to plant some seeds in her and hoping she will say yes when I invite her to church.

Dena, are you considering moving back to Eureka?

No, I'm not right now, Maggie. I am just going to get a summer job while I wait for the dental building to get finished at the practice where I will be working.

Hi, Trish, Brendalee, Dena, Trishy, Maggie, and Dee! Wow, it's great to see you all!
Yes, I've had a good day! I wrote an article, started a news bulletin, and helped in accounting. This evening all I've done is a load of laundry, posted on forums, a couple of online personal surveys, washed some dishes and had a bite to eat. I also didn't complete an 8th grade math test because I didn't know what some of the signs and symbols meant! They are different that I remember!
Well, Dena, sometimes a day of playing hooky is what we need!
How was your meeting with your friends, Trishy? Seed planting, you go girl!
I read your dustbunny writing, Brendalee. Very interesting and now we know better how to pray with you.
Also praying with Pammy and Dena for the right job for each!

My goodness, this no works, free gift thing is going on a long time in my Bible readings. I'm still on chapter five in Romans and I think I've got it at last!

Do you think we'll ever really get it till we get to heaven?

Hello there Joy! I would like to go to Germany. The thing is that I'm registered now and that means that any job offers I get will be from the states. I feel deep down that it's not time for me to come back to the states yet. I've already received a potential job offer in Germany, but the issue now is that the whole Dept of Army is in a hiring freeze, which means that they can still recruit people for jobs, but can't offer the job. We have our good ole Congress to thank for that because they didn't vote on the supplemental budget before the Memorial day weekend...

If I'm offered the job (officially) it would be a promotion for me.

I'll be going to the dentist in less than an hour from now. Hopefully, they'll be able to do something to it today, but I'll see.

As for eating rocks...LOL!!! You won't have to worry about that one.

Hi, Slushie & Pammy,
The 8th grade test was online, Slushie. I was OK on the questions that didn't have the mystery signs. Tried using them different ways but couldn't get the right way.
I've not been to Germany but I know people who live there, Pammy. Amen to your "God's will to be done." Aren't we Christians blessed with the peace of knowing God's will!
