HI Sharon! I napped from 4:30 to 8:30 tonight so I'll be up late. EVERYONE in the house is up except for dh. Two of the boys have just started a movie and one just walked in the door from some sort of photo shoot. I think I'm going to do some dusting.

Dusting? LOL!! That's what I should be doing but I didn't get home from work until almost 9. By the time I ate, did some reading, deleting OVER A HUNDRED subscription replies in my email box, it was like midnight before I knew it.

Anyway, sounds like fun in the house right now. Movie and photo shoot?? Say HI to the guys from the non-FA.

Sharon, I've started using the e-mail notices and really like them. Try changing your selection in "My Profile" to once per thread intead of every message. You won't get as many e-mails and the ones you DO get will direct you to where you last left off reading, regardless of whether you read there today or last week.

Thanks Maggie. After all the mess tonight in my email, first thing I did was come and change the profile setting.

Most of what I got today didn't have the actual message in it. Just the link. Yesterday and before, I could just sit in my email and read all the messages. That seemed silly though because they would all be unread here when I came back to the threads.

What's convenient too is going to 'my forums' and it'll show you which threads have new messages. Click on the 'arrow' and WA LA you are at the first unread msg. That way it won't clutter your email box up too much either... cause for me, I usually subscribe to SO MUCH that all those emails overwhelm this bird.

Hi Janine Yes, I like the MY FORUMS too and that's where I go when I come on.

You know, I wish they wouldn not automatically have the "Notify me via email" box checked under the post composing box. I would rather it be blank and then if someone wants the email they can check it. Even after the change I made in profile last night, I have had a ton in email again this morning. I guess I'll just have to continue to practice patience for a bit.

(LOts of things to respond to ...... I might have to do several posts cause I know I'll forget)

Sharon --- if you're still getting e-mails: go to My Subscriptions and uncheck all the e-mail notification boxes, but keep the sub box checked. I have to do that about once/day just incase I accidetnally ask for notification

Also, if you uncheck automatically subscribe in "my profile" than the box won't be checked anymore. But you'll have to manually subscribe to all your threads.

Yeah, Sharon. I think Fritz has had the message removed from the e-mails. I'm wondering why.

Flintejae, the problem with doing that is this. If I don't read all the threads in My Forums that have new messages in them before I leave CW for that session, when I return, those unread threads are marked as read. That's frustrating. Using the e-mail notifiers helps me find where I left off regardless of when I last read the thread.

And I see that Christine wrote what I just wrote and deleted. No point in saying it twice. Do what Christine says, Sharon.

I just read over in Feedback that the subscriptions are working right. [:\]

That makes me not happy. The only way to auto-subscribe is to get notified of e-mail. That shouldn't be the case. Hopefully I misunderstood Fritz.

OK --- so I called the doc to make an appt for my biopsy. The woman who schedules the surgeries is out on Fridays, so I'll schedule that next week. I'm so proud of myself for calling. I was scared to do it. And the ball is in their court now.

I don't want to take another day off of work, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I want to do it on a Friday so I can have hte weekend to recover, but if Friday isn't an option (as I'm thinking it's not since they only work 1/2 days on Friday as it is) than I'll do it early in teh day on a Thursday and take Friday off of work too. Just for my own sanity if nothing else.

Catherine --- where in AZ is your mission this summer? Maybe you'll see my parents?

I don't think you misunderstood. This subs thing is a real pain. I miss the way we had it before. I do leave the list up and open in a new window, so it is less painful, but still, it isn't ideal. I know whining won't bring them back, but I sure do miss it.

I'm proud of you too! Let us know when you get the appointment, ok?

I may finally get my windstar back. I love that van. It broke down a year ago May, and he is finally suppose to get it put together today. I sincerely hope so.

I posted this in kimmy's and ellie's threads, but I am working on my sig, so I am posting it here too...

If anyone wants to help me with my sig, I'd greatly appreciate it. I am not sure what fonts show up for most people. Would anyone go check out my tests HERE, and let me know? Thank you!

Kath, I CAN see the lucida handwriting in your sig right now. I DON't see the other ones but don't understand why I don't see comic sans ms as I know I have that font on my computer. *shrug*

Christine, thanks for the info on the MY SUBSCRIPTIONS, I am going to experiment. I definitely want to auto subscribe with a post in a thread. That's what I am going to experiment with now.

thanks Kath and Sharon.

My internet's driving me nuts. I'm not sure if it's Comcast or our router. But I hope I can get it figured out soon and be done with messing with it EVERY day.

Today I'm going to drive down to San Jose to see a little league baseball game. My co-worker coaches his son's team and Eric has a ground lesson, so I don't have anything better to do. I'm actually kind of excited.

I should get ready soon.

Christine, have fun in San Jose!! It does sound exciting to venture out like that and it will mean a lot to your co-worker too that you would come to a little league game of his son's.

Hi everyone! :D

This is about the only thread I follow, so I don't mind the e-mail notifications. :D

Well, today I learned an important lesson about keeping things clean...

J and Nicky decided to take five days off. They left Thursday, so I assumed they would be back Monday.

Yesterday I went to work, went to the chiropractor, and then came home. Matt came over and I cooked us dinner. And while I cooked he worked on my truck (put more oil in it <I have a leak> and changed the burned out tail light). After we ate dinner I went and sat down because I was sore from my Chiro visit. I started baking cookies, but after I started I discovered we had no butter. And then after we got some of that, I then discovered we had no eggs.
Then later that night we watched TV and then turned on a movie. Did very little cleaning up of the dinner mess (only put perishable things in fridge) or the half-made cookie batter. Both of us are messy-natured and don't think about such things.

This morning I get up. Lay in bed for a while. Do a lesson for the group Bible study I am in. Play on the computer for a while. I look at the mess and think, "I'll deal with it later." I go out to the bank and to rent some girlie movies (have house to myself, can watch them without grief from J) and got some Starbucks. I came back and.... J's and Nicky's truck with the camper is parked in the driveway
I came in and... they weren't in the house. I look out and see their other vehicle is gone. The mail pile for them was moved, and the blinds are opened more than they were when I left (to cater to the birds ), so it was odvious they had been inside.

I felt soooooooooooooooo bad. I should so not be keeping a house that is not my own and that I have the privledge of staying in that messy. Especially since I don't have domain of the kitchen (my room is another story). I definitely learned today that cleaning shouldn't wait, especially if you don't have a date when the people you stay with are returning.

I did go out and tell J. that I was sorry. He said it was a good thing I got back and cleaned it up before they got back home the second time. Nicky is a definite clean freak, and J said she definitely wasn't too thrilled.

Eric wants me to ask you what we should do for dinner.

Salads at Burger King
Salads at McDonalds
Pizza from Little Caesar's (NOT on the diet)

Oh, I forgot to mention, I didn't go to San Jose today. The game was rained out. I was just leaving when my co-worker called and said not to venture down there.

More dinner options: subway or quizno's

I had a Subway Sub for lunch today. The toasted chicken ranch one. Yum

I say go for the pizza tonight and a vow to eat better tomorrow.

((((Catherine))))) I would have felt mortified too, but consider it a lesson learned. I'm sure you'll be forgiven.

Was glad to read a few back I think that you are noticing some of the benefits from going to the chiro. Good. Makes the sore times a little easier to take doesn't it?

I Love subway! My favorite sandwhich is the roasted chicken breast on white with cheese, mayo, onions, green pepper, extra lettuce and tomatoes!

Although, I REALLY Miss Jimmy John's. My God they had THEE BEST wheat bread EVER! The meat was piled on high... yum, I can almost taste it now. I don't think anyone can top it. Truly.

J and I went to Albertson's tonight to get a few things. While we walked down the aisle he discovered that Kellogg's cereal had Star Wars light up spoons! (that look like light savers). You should have seen the child-like glee on his face... it was not only STAR WARS!! but the toy was IN THE BOX!! We bought two so we could both have a spoon. He got the red and green... if he got the blue one he'd have a set.

It was fun to see him so excited. This movie is a huge pinacle moment for him. LOL I think I'm goona cry like a baby watching all the jedi die, but it should be interesting.

Did you know that they are making a Darth Vadar BLENDER?! Oh! and Darth Vador BLINDS!?!?! The product merchandise never ends.
