And that's on a paid for car. If it were financed I'd have to have all kinds of extra coverage.[color]

That's less money than the Shenzhou 7 cost. Thankfully.

Hey Bill, I met a girl in one of my classes that is from your town. How fun is that? Can't imagine what she is doing here going to school...she said her entire family is still all there and how much she misses it.

Bill, thank you for explaining who Misty is. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. {{{{{{{{Bill}}}}}}}}} That's great about saving on your car insurance!

Bill . . . you and Darren have been very much on my mind these past couple of days. Just wanted you to know.

I'd also like to ask how your father is doing?

Looks like it's a Chinese spacecraft.

Bill, I'm so sorry to hear about Misty :(

I'd hate to pay that for auto insurance! Oh, wait...how much am I paying a year? I just looked it up...$477 every 6 months. I have to have full coverage with a $500 deductible while the car is still being paid off. And it went down when I married and added Andrew to the policy by about $100.

The car is 6 years old with roughly 64.000 miles on it.

Did I share this cat video with y'all? If so, I apologize, but here it is (again?):

Everytime I watch this video I can't stop laughing.

He's home and cranky as all get out! Ya think he'd be glad just to be out of the hospital, but noooooooo!! My sister had the cable company install a digital box and all he's done is complain. Grrrrrr! I told my sisters to shoot me if I get like that.

Kimmie, I have full coverage, but raising my collision deductible to $1000 cut the premium by a hundred bucks.

Bill, so if your dad doesn't want cable, does he read much then?

My finance company requires the $500 deductible, otherwise I'd raise it to $1000. That would be nice!

Hi Kimberly, you are up early!

Hi Trish, you are up late!

I took that quiz, I think it said that I would last 41 seconds or so.

It's only about 10.40pm here. Not too late. I don't go to bed until midnight.

Just curious - what did you sister say in response?

I hope things get sorted out with your dad.

Bill, sorry your dad is being so "cranky" but with all he has been through and may have to go through, you and your sisters are unfortunately getting caught in his turmoil of accepting his situation and all, scared even. If that's not so... um, I will pray you all survive it.
I'll pray that too if YOU get like that.

Hi Catherine

I'm doing pretty good overall, thank you :) Busy with work and now I've become part of the women's ministry team at my church. Between work, being with Andrew (who's been working a lot of overtime lately and is gone too often :( ) when he's home, our small group bible study starting up again after the summer break, and being busy with meetings for the women's ministry and the welcome team at church, I don't have a lot of free time.

I've been ODing on politics, and I'm afraid at times that Obama will win. I don't know where y'all stand, but Obama scares me. I wasn't wild about McCain, but I really like Palin and I've come to the conclusion that McCain is a decent man who's doing what he believes is best for the country, and so far he's proven to me that he puts self-interest aside to put the country first. Even though it's a worthless vote here in California, I'm spending it on him.

I've also begun doing the south beach diet again, and am in the middle of the first two weeks. I'm not rigidly following it, mostly I decided to do this to eliminate the sugars and white flours from my diet, and this has helped tremendously.

The women in our church are attending a Donna Partow conference next weekend, and many of the women on the women's ministry team are going through her book "Becoming the Woman I Want to Be", which addresses physical, spiritual and mental well-being. One of the things Donna has the reader do is add a few dietary changes over the 90 days of the book, and I decided to add psyillium husk into my diet. I think it's a good addition :)

The weather changes have been great! We had some rain late Friday night/early Saturday morning, and the most gorgeous weather on the weekend.

Andrew and I are trying to get the house cleaned out and reorganized, and to get rid of a lot of stuff. Most of that is what I've been trying to work on, a little at a time.

With it getting dark so much earlier, I'm going to bed earlier. That's my segue to say goodnight for now :)

I hope you're doing well, Catherine :) As I hope for everyone else reading this.

Goodnight!

Obama scares me too. I'll admit that I did vote for John Kerry four years ago, but this election I am voting for McCain.

That's a cool and funny video, Kimmy But, he does "get "it!

I'm not opposed to all that democrats want, but bottom line for me is the abortion issue. I'm scared of any "leader" who is okay with the mass killing of babies. That shows a level of evil and heartlessness that I can't endorse. I won't ever vote for a democrat just because of that issue alone. Not even a consideration until one comes along who opposes it and I've never seen one at that level who does.

Gee, I better get back to putting some of this writing energy into my paper that is due tomorrow!

I totally agree. I don't think that makes me a one issue voter either. But if they are so callus about life, what else would they do?
