Ryan,
Good to see you :D
I like Nascar.... I grew up with my family going to the races quite often. My mom's 2nd husband was a push truck for a truck nearby...

The first time I saw them racing the pickups I thought to myself "This is the epitome of redneckness". The only things missing were the gun racks and coon hounds.

I've been lurking in your thread, Maggie, as well as Kimmie's, but also Posting in the Running thread, Shar-Mar's thread, and Catherine's. I've also been really busy with work, church, Mary's dad, and my Mom. That pretty much says it all. Thanks for noticing, Maggie, and I've been praying for you and your various illnesses lately - not to mention dh and the ds (#1-#4). Can't wait to see a copy of your book!

It's good to see you surfacing. You need to do that more often, though I certainly understand your busyness. You've got a lot on the go! I appreciate your prayers.

Thanks! As I read that (following on the heels of what a couple people said in my thread) the idea came to me that I should start taking advance orders. But I don't even know how much the retail cost will be. I think I have a sharp learning curve ahead of me as I move from writing to marketing.

Trish has friends from another country

Ryan, I've always had friends from other countries. I just don't get to see them an awful lot because they ARE overseas.

How are you doing?
I am sorry, when I reread that post Trish, it made it sound bad, I guess I left 1 word out of my orig. post, and misused 1... should have been Trish had friends from another country over. Ya know its to bad we don't have a proof reader here at the bistro... oh wait, we do
Seriously Trish, I am fine, a few bumps in the road but God is good! I had to sub teach my sunday school class and the lesson was about our closeness to God, so I preached at the choir (myself, I am the only choir member in that class) for 30 min

That's ok, Ryan. You're forgiven.

I misread that as potless.

In the 70's that would have been a tragedy of epic proportions.

I still catches me off guard that I have a picture with me standing that close to Mark. :)

Why Catherine, I do believe you're gushing. Looks like Marky gained a few pounds since his last live dvd.

I'm here, thanks for all the posts :)

I've been busy and super stressed out this month. Work is the source of so much stress these days. Layoffs have been happening, and they're requiring a lot of overtime and we can't get caught up with the work. They keep giving us new requirements and things to do, so it's taking more time to do the work. On top of that, they've told us that we have to be available to work any Saturday or Sunday, and now we have to turn in a request to have those days off, otherwise we're expected to work if they need the overtime.

This Saturday we have to work 8 hours.

I am so unhappy and stressed with the job and it's spilling over into my personal life. I get upset easily and don't want to do anything around the house.

Andrew and I have talked about my quitting, and the plan has been for me to turn in my resignation on July 7th. We talked on the phone after I got off work this evening, and I'm going to turn my notice in this next Monday. July 4th will be my last day of employment, and I just realized that would be Independence Day! Very symbolic indeed :) Woohoo!!!!

Of course, there is a small risk they'll let me go earlier, but I'm ok with that.

I'm planning to go back into temp work, and am looking forward to that. I do need to get my resume updated, but that won't be too difficult.

Andrew has been working as a temp at his latest assignment for a couple of months now, and they're going to be hiring him as their payroll accountant!!! And he'll be getting much better pay and benefits, so we'll be ok. God is good :)

Now I need to make sure I have an appropriate wardrobe for secretarial/administrative assistant work :) I have the basics, now I need to fill them out a bit :P

Catherine, when did you see Mark Schultz? Was it recently?

I did want to add that I've discovered a show that I love - Jon and Kate Plus 8 on TLC :) It's great! Anyone else watch it?

I saw him on April 5th in Oroville, CA. That was the day after my birthday. :)

I have watched a little bit of their show. I watched the Disney World special of theirs shortly after we got back from our trip and I kept thinking, "Man she is crazy." I so do not think I could handle eight kids at Disney World, though they did bring two other adult helpers.

BTW, seasons 1 and 2 of their show come to DVD on July 2.

Sorry your job has gotten to be so much of a pain. I'm sure you are looking forward to being free! I am hoping to quit my stupid job in September.
