I am struggling greatly with anxiety and depression. My life is not great right now and every day is very painful. My marriage is in a huge mess, my relationship with my children is strained. I have many worries and am undergoing a few health checks etc.
Mostly life just really hurts and I am struggling to keep faith. I don't understand why I am to live like this but I know God must have a reason. I can't help thinking over and over that some day things will change-I will die and all this pain will be over. This is not the way I want to view my life. I want that life in abundance and I am refusing to give up hope.
Please pray for me if you have the time. I really need some strength and some change.

Lord, please bring change to this person's life. Cause them to truly become "ever joyful" with that deep contentment and joy that only You can bring. I ask in Jesus name

(((Everjoyful)))) I'll be glad to add my prayers and you are right that God has a reason for everything that happens in our lives, if only to learn from it, but it sounds to me like you are suffering from clinical depression. I would talk to your doctor or a psychologist/psychiatrist about how you are feeling.
I hope you don't mind my saying it here but I also saw on another board that your husband has been verbally abusive to you from what you describe, and I do think this could be a large part of it. I wouldn't stand for that myself, and I do think the bible allows for a separation when necessary. My husband and I were separated years ago and I think it helped our marriage when we got back together; also it helped my kids to have more respect for me because I found they were picking up subtle attitudes from their father towards me-- at least it seemed so to me. I was thinking this might be part of the problem with the problem with your kids too?...Anyways now I am not afraid to let my husband know how hurt I am when he acts like a jerk--yes might as well call it like it is! But he is overall more kindhearted.
God will lead you in which direction to take. I know with me I really had a peace about separating....
God's word can be very encouraging for depression though. I was just sharing on the favorite prayer scripture thread the other day about a tract (with scriptures of encouragement) that helped me when I was quite depressed years ago; here's the link:

Lord Jesus comfort Everjoyful and bring her marriage healing and bring physical healing too if she needs it. Lift her up from depression andand help her relationship with her children and everyone else in her life.. Help her husband to see his hurtful behavior and to repent. Bring her the people you know that can be of help to her and cause her to have hope that things will improve. Thank you Lord Jesus for caring about Everjoyful and her struggles. Thank you for her love for you and for all that you are doing and will do for her and may your name be glorified. In Jesus name amen.

Lord Jesus, be with everjoyful today, encourage and strengthen her. Give her peace and draw her closer to You. Lord, thank you for being our healer and our burden bearer. Help her to release all of her burdens to You. Lord, fill her with your peace and your healing touch. I pray for complete and total healing for her and I pray that her depression would be lifted. Lord, take away her depression and replace it with more of You. Help everjoyful to trust in You and to hold fast to You. Let her feel your sweet presense all over her today.

Lord, I pray that you will look down upon everjoyful as I lift her up to you, now. I humbly ask that you will remove from her the spirit of depression and anxiety that has hold of her, and replace it with a spirit of joy and peace. Whatever difficulty she is dealing with in her life that is making things intollerable for her, please help her to remove that obstical from her life and over-come the pain it is causing her. Give her the strength to move forward and to take control of every painful situation, and do not give the enemy a single chance to make anything seem as though it cannot be over-come. For through you, all healing and success in life is possible, oh mighty Lord! You are powerful in all ways, and you grant strength and mercy and joy and peace to your people who worship and follow you. Blessed are you, oh Lord, God, for you gave to us your only Son, Jesus Christ, as the perfect sacrifice to forgive us all of our sins. Please look with favor upon everjoyful, and grant her this mercy, this peace, this strength, and this joy which you can offer her. Let her take control of her life and defeat anything that is causing her grief in your mighty name.
I pray this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, the King of Kings.

Lord I lift up everjoyful to you.
Lord I pray you will help her through this troubling time.
I pray Lord that you will bring healing to her mentally,physically and spiritually.
Help her Lord to find comfort in your word and promises.
I pray Lord you will give her strength to continue to go forward with you.
Lord I pray that she will stand firm in faith knowing you are there for her.
Lord I pray that the situation with her family will have resolution.
I pray Lord this family will have forgiveness,understanding and faith to communicate in peace and love.
Help them Lord to heal from the pain and discouragement they have in their lives.

Everjoyful, I'm having those same feelings right now too. It's not a fun place to be in. But our God is a good God and he will see you through. His mercies are new every morning. You are in my prayers.
Dear Lord. I pray for everjoyful to be ever joyful again. Take this spirit of darkness from her and replace it with peace. I ask you to take care of her needs and surround her with loving friends whom she can turn to in this time of need. praying in agreement with the others. Amen

I'm praying for nice and easy better days with no aching body tiredness, and for little, bitty positive steps toward wellness to take place. That your life start running on a known sensation of Spirit-power, nothing more of Everjoyful power for a while.
