Hey y'all, When I click on the edit button to edit any photo (crop, rotate, etc.), I can perform all the functions (and can even see the changes on "working photo", but I don't know how to save the functions once I'm finished. Clicking on the "Done" button doesn't save any of my edits; it just takes me back to the screen where I can select another photo. I've looked, but I don't find where I can "save changes" or any similar function. How do I save my edits of photos through iPhoto? Additionally, I have another question regarding uploading photos from Photobucket to eBay. The link to that question is in my siggy. Thanks, Sharon-Marie

Shar-Mar, I hate unanswered questions! So even though I don't have a Mac, I went online to Apple support and did a search: "iphoto save edit" Here's one of the pages it brought up . It says "Here are the editing tools in the toolbar:" Notice this one--- Arrows: Saves edit; moves to previous or next photo. If that doesn't help perhaps another search there would. ===============wintery.

There is a tutorial HERE that may help. I know you don't have '08 but some of these actions may be the same or similar to what you have. There is one about adding text and tags and such to pictures. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your time in finding that, Sharon. Those are different functions, however, from what I am wanting to do. I want to put my business name directly onto each photo. The tutorial you linked me to is for naming pictures and/or adding captions under neath photos (for online photo albums, etc.). Ironically, that part of iphoto - I've known how to do for quite a while. LOL I did, however, join Apple's forum earlier this afternoon, and started a thread titled, Inserting text into photos. My OP read, How do I do this? For example, I want to put my business name at the bottom of all my photos. I have received one reply back so far: Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You'll need an external editor to do this. In order of price - starting with free - here are some suggestions: Seashore Graphic Coverter Acorn Photoshop Elements There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate. You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto. Seashore, Graphic Coverter, Acorn and Photoshop Elements are all different links (over in the apple forums). I just need to now look at them and decide which one I want to use. Sharon, which program do you use for all your personal stuff (I think you use different applications for your work projects, correct?)?

It took over 4 hours to download Adobe Photoshop earlier today. I've chosen the 30-day free trial version; and if after that, I like it, I will purchase it (and in the meantime, I get to learn it). Trial by fire, but I think once I get the hang of things, I'm going to enjoy using it. I have already learned the two things I need right now for my toy photos: cropping and text insertion. Thanks y'all, here in this thread, for all your help and suggestions.
