I don't normally do this, but I want to intro this poem. I suffer from, well, the docs haven't figured it out quite yet, but some sort of mental disorder. We're working on it.

Anyway, I had an episode earlier today, and this following poem is what I wrote during that time period. I am going to present it just as it was written then. Messy and broken. Like me.

clock in my mind ticks down
tocks away my sanity

breath in out faster as hideous
chaos approach

eyes dart back forth
look for exit from this terror

want out
want free

need you here

Hey Ben, that's an interesting poem. I think it's good that you are writing down what you are feeling. By writing it down and reading it later, it'll help you put your finger on what is bothering you.

I try to do that myself when I feel stressed/angry or anxious. One thing that helps me the most is just trying to forget totally about me and my problems/feelings, and try to focus on someone else's needs. Like a sick friend, or even visiting a nursing home. It might sound strange, but it really does help me put "me" in perspective and see that others may have problems worse than my own. You may even come across someone who is going thru something similar, then you can share it with them.

Keep expressing yourself, and pray. God will answer! God cares for you and He will help you through this battle!
