Faith is a Fight

Faith is a fight. The battle to continue believing is prevalent amongst so many of us. Personally, I think one of the largest weapons the enemy holds against us is doubt. If we allow it, doubt has the ability to seep into our thoughts and shatter our dreams before we even know what hit us.

Our God-given dreams hold the power to change our futures and give Him glory. If we allow doubt to shatter them, we will feel as if an illness as invaded our souls.

Trying to understand faith can be a slippery slope. It's my perception that too many people over think what faith is intended to be. it links us to God. The writer of Hebrews actually gives us a definition for the word. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (See Hebrews 11:1) Faith is a choice, and I believe it heals the soul.

In the book of Ephesians the apostle Paul tells us that faith is a shield. He goes on to say that when we own it, we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. (See Ephesians 6:16) Faith protects us.

Faith protects our dreams and solidifies hope in the God who breathed them into us. (tweet that)

Friend, I can only imagine what you might be facing in life. This narrow road we walk is not an easy one. Though I don't know your particular struggle, I do know that God has designed a purpose for you. He has planted dreams deep inside you. He wants to see you hold tight to faith and hope. Trusting Him is the beginning of freedom.

You are loved. Please don't over think faith. Instead, submit to it. Hold your shield of faith up high and defend yourself from doubt.

But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.

- Psalm 3:3

Today, my prayer is that you would find faith again. May your doubt be destroyed and your dreams restored.

He will lift up your head.

Love,

Jennifer
