Much has been said on this forum about which political figure or presidential candidate best reflects their idea of "Christian values".

If your child/grandchild (or niece/nephew) asked you who best reflects Jesus and his teachings, whom would you point out as an example for your child/grandchild to follow in word and deed?

Well as far as I can tell Mike Huckabee, this is a very good post, who we vote for and thier values, do tell our children what, we approve, and what we do not.
Blessings.

I personally have not seen anybody say that anyone but Jesus best reflects their Christian values. Certainly no politician could.

Jesus Himself of course.

Why isn't there a choice for the child's own parents?. The parents are responsible for exposing their own children to Jesus's lessons in life. The child is around the parents daily. I get so tired of parents passing the buck "role model" to leaders that children only see on the television screen. The parents teach children their nightly prayers, how to say grace at meals and take them to Sunday school and church, not any of the people named in this poll. I say this because no matter who you feel is right in 2008 even if re-elected, they will be gone by 2016 and replaced by another.. Parents are there from birth until adulthood. So parents be mindful of the people you expose your children to in their daily life. As I think back I was oblivious as to who sat in the White House until my teenage years when John F. Kennedy became President, by then my formative years were just about in the past!. My world revolved around my family , schoolteachers , friends and Sunday school and church. I did not care who sat in the White House, because the President was not part of my world. How many of you thought about who was President in your early childhood?
