I have always been fascinated(obsessed) with that thing that grabs a person from the pits of hell.

Do you know how it feels to be driving along, your mind somewhere else, and suddenly find yourself in an emergency situation and you have to lock your brakes. You realize how close you came to possibly losing your life?

You heart is beating fast, adrenaline is flowing, and your mind is racing. After the nervousness dies down a little you wonder what happened. You get a little angry, next you may realize the seriousness of what just happened and then you feel a little fear. You drive a little slower and a lot more alert for quite awhile and your only desire is to make it to your destination in one piece.

I guess we all at one time or another get a similar wake-up-call when driving but not everyone gets a wake-up-call when it comes to their souls.

God can change a reprobate into a soul built for eternal life. That is the thing that amazes me. I do not take for granted anyone who seems to be so lost that nothing will save them. Our fleshly nature only wants to please the flesh and then the hand of God wakes us up at the right time and in a way that only He can and points us to His son.

When did YOU realize that you were no longer a reprobate and that you truly had eternal life.

What was the progression of events that got you there?

When I had to make hard decisions between ME and Him. I had to decide WHO was the center of my life. And each day, I grow more in that understanding. Every instance, when I must choose between my way or His way I am reminded.

When hearing and reading God's Word (the Bible) started to make sense.

What was the progression of events that got you there?
The more I read, the more I wanted to read.

It was similar to this:
Do you remember 3D Artwork? It looks like a page of designs and colors. (A picture is hidden in it.) You hold it close to your nose, then slowly move it farther away, then closer, then far... Until the 3D picture appears!
When you finally get it, you don't want to take your eyes off of it!!!

The realization was a process. It took Him to completely break me, before He could rebuild me. In the rebuilding, He showed me His love and forgiveness. He also showed me that, "to whom much is given, much will be required". Much is still being given and much more will be required.

The day the light bulb went off, I realized that I was eternally His. This was several years after He had delivered me from alcohol.

Same for me. For some it doesn't take much to get to this place, for others, it takes a lot to get to this place of submission -- but it's good.

Me too Ignited. One day when reading the bible it just clicked and I found myself on my knees thanking and praising God and repenting my sinful ways! But a few months before that- I noticed a stirring in my heart while going to this one church. I found myself choked up during songs, almost as if I wanted to cry- but intellectually not understanding why I was so emotional. After I was saved, I realized that the lyrics in the worship were so moving and I wanted to sing to God constantly!
