Am I not allowed to say that verses in the bible are God's Word here? Am I not allowed to stand up here for what the bible actually says? For example, I've been told that Genesis 2:7, "The Lord God formed the man from of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being" are my words, my slant, or my view. What's wrong with this picture? Why do people attribute those words to me instead of to God? I'm very flattered that they think those are my words, but the fact is, I didn't write them, God did. So does anyone here know the difference between the words in the bible and people's interpretations of those words? Or not? This is a very important point because if one can't distinguish between the words in the bible and people's interpretations of those words, then one cannot know what God said and what people say. One cannot then know who God is. One also can feel free to change the words in the bible to make the bible say whatever he wants and then claim that God said them. In fact, this is the single biggest factor in the disagreements between Christians is people not knowing the difference between the words in the bible and people's interpretations of them.
