Hi

Can anyone translate this inscription:

It is an inscription above a small chapel on Mount Tabor, seen here:

Also, what does Descentibus mean?

The first part is from Matthew 17:9: "Tell no one of the vision until the Son of Man rises from the dead." (Re: the Transfiguration)

That part was easy

The rest seems to say (and trust me, I am probably wrong) something along the lines of:

Old, trustworthy evidence reports that here was an ancient Christian church, the size of which was great. It was damaged by time and restored to its original condition in 1923
