Missy,

I can't find any info online about this.
Let me know when y'all are singing and I'll try to be there. I'd LOVE to see the Lambdins again.

I don't know of anywhere that Tony has it online but he's been advertising on the Tony Peace Gospel Hour each week for a while.

It is my understanding that there will be 20 regional / local groups from the southeast area. I know there are groups from Georgia, Alabama, & I think I heard the Carolinas. I have no idea who all will be there at this point.

There is no admission charge. It is at South Cobb High School and the singing starts at 2pm until whenever.........the doors open at noon.

Tony says he's really expecting a good crowd. This is a great chance for promoters and pastors, church leaders, or just folks that love Southern Gospel to hear a lot of different folks and find new groups to use in concerts, church services, etc...

Jim.....I'll PM you with our time etc...don't want to appear to be a "shamless plugger." That was not at all what I inteded for this thread...just wanted to meet more fabulous posters like you! Hope to see you again!

Since the TP Gospel hour moved, nobody I know can watch it (myself included)
He comes on at 12:30 on Sunday afternoon, and most times I'm barely in my car leaving church by that time.

Missy-
I saw Tony over the weekend, and he asked if I was going to be available to help with the event. I told him that I would be there most all day. He said he had 12 of the 20 slots confirmed, with several other potential artists who have expressed an interest. Hopefully, those remaining slots will fill on up! Looking forward to seeing The Lambdins that day.

I usually go to early church, so I get to see it most of the time. I don't watch "Glory Train" much any more, but I am really glad that I can catch the TP Gospel Hour.

Ya'll are crazy -- much like my Uncle Larry! He is truly a mess! Let me just say this.....there is NEVER a dull moment on our bus with those 3 crazy guys we call our band! I can talk about them since they're my family!

Donna.........I'd love to meet you! And to answer your question -- yes, Larry is the piano player.

Jim......hope to see you Saturday! It's about time that you and I caught up over a bowl of chili again sometime! Well....not Saturday -- gonna be WAY to hot down here in Atlanta.....maybe we should catch up over ice cream instead! Good to hear from you my friend!

Missy or Charlie, Do you know what other groups might be there on Saturday. Tony announced the singing on his program but only name a couple of groups that were gonna be there. Said he still had openings.

I don't know the lineup either. I do know that the Parish Family and The Bridgemans are both advertising the singing on their schedules so I'm assuming that means that they will be there. They are both GREAT! We've sang with both of them before.

As Charlie stated way above in this thread, Tony had confirmed 12 groups but was hoping for 20 and that was back last week sometime. I'm sure he's added groups since then.

Hope you can join us. I've heard alot about your wonderful singings that you promote. I'd love to meet you!

Again, we welcome anyone in the Atlanta area to come out and join us Saturday. The singing will start at 2pm with our family kicking everything off and will last until all of the groups have been spotlighted at approximately 15 minutes each. The doors open at noon. As I stated in the OP, this is a great chance for pastors, promotors, etc...to hear regional groups from Georgia, Alabama, and surrounding areas to book at your churches and concert events.

Hope to meet some of you!

Tony had Foster come by his house to get some flyers for us to give to our church people. I didn't get to bring one home. The only groups I remember are:

The Lambdins
Tne Bridgemans
The Lemings
Heavenly Expressions
The Parrish Family

There were several solo artists, but I only remember:
Tony Peace
Eddie Crook

There were 16 total, though. I just can't remember them!! I'm sure it'll all be good.
Hope to see you all there. I'll be helping emcee some during the early afternoon portion.

Charlie

Charlie, Tony called me Saturday morning and was telling me that he had asked you emcee the early afternoon and I assured him that he had left the program in VERY good, capable hands! You'll do a great job, I'm sure!

Tell Foster I said hello...!
