That way the Earth can go back to its pristine state if we get rid of every human being on this planet. And that is what the wackos want; they have a proposed park here in the Raleigh in which no human can set foot. The National Park Service has a permanent ban on humans on a large portion of the Outer Banks despite the damage it will do to the tourist trade. This action was to save the nesting birds but the wackos forced the Park Service for a permanent ban.

I made it to age 30. I guess that qualifies me as a hippie.

That's what I love about the environmental extremists they feel that animals are not intelligent enough to adapt to their new surroundings and in the case of birds they'll find a new place to nest at the drop of a hat. It may confuse them the first time but they'll get over it soon enough. We have birds that nest in the rafters of our patio and also wedge them between the cable and electic lines in the eaves by our bedroom. It's so cool waking up in the morning to the sounds of the baby birds chirping to momma and dadda "I'm hungry!"

Well, that was certainly a waste of internet bandwidth! It goes to show there are too many people with too much spare time on their hands. I tried to answer it honestly and I should have died at age 14.5. Hey! I've cheated death! -Dave

BTW, I bet they've tripled their hits on their site just from the people on this board taking the test. They are probably so proud of all the people they are getting their message to.

I finally took the silly test and found out I died at 7.5 years old. A tragedy not making it into 3rd grade. Now I feel like Bruce Willis in the movie "The Sixth Sense". "I see dead people!"

The more you make the more you spend and create more garbage and use more resources making stuff you buy. Let's see ... we don't buy processed food or anything like that ... kids have far too many allergies. So we spend MORE money than the average person by buying produce at the local farmer's market (which we walk to) or by growing our own. When we do go shopping, it is strictly for necessities, yet once again, it is the more expensive stuff because of all the allergies to the additives (like dyes and perfumes). So we are spending almost double per year than our neighbours, but creating a LOT less garbage ... and we have far healthier kids to show for it. (Oh, and we compost and recycle as well ... and we use the canvas bags when we do have to go shopping)

(Oh, and we compost and recycle as well ... and we use the canvas bags when we do have to go shopping) Agreed! Money spent is not a very accurate indicator when it comes to the amount of trash generated. I just spent nearly $3 a piece on heriloom tomato plants for my garden from a local nursery (3 blocks away - and we walked) I brought my own clay containers to take them home in and the owner of the nursery dug them right out of the ground for me. Now I could have went to another nearby store - within walking distance and purchased basic tomato plants for the discounted price of $1.40 but from experience they are not as hardy a plant and I usually end up WASTING my money because they die out or the crop is pitiful. Same goes for this same nurseries produce stand in the fall. I'll go there for any produce before I hit the other places because it's locally grown and delicious and I know by buying it there I'm supporting a local family and business. I spend a little more but there is less waste and I'm using NO gas because I can walk there, and I bring my own containers to bring things home in. And I know how the produce is raised. It costs more - but better for me and my community. Blessings, Garsy
