Looking up Martin Luther would be a good start and the Reformation in Wikipedia would be a good start. Many factors were coming into play during Luther's early life, but he was the central figure. ORIGINAL: jamal-jackson I wanted to know what led to reformation, like the factors. Can any 1 tell The essence of it was the the Bible, the Word of God, had become submerged in the traditions of the church. At the time of the Reformation in Europe, the Bible was translated from the original Greek and Hebrew in to many languages. When the common people realized that what they had been led to believe, in so many instances, wasn't what the Bible actually taught at all, it led many people to leave behind many of the mere traditions they had previously adhered to. Basically people realized from the Bible that salvation is through simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that the professing church should be judged by what the Bible teaches, and not the other way round. (Of course, as with everything in which human beings are involved, what were once clear issues sometimes became mixed up with all sorts of other things.) But all for now; I hope that helps. Take care.
