WHAT DOES RESPECT MEAN TO HUSBANDS, IN TERMS OF WHAT THEY EXPECT FROM THEIR SPOUSE?

I dont think I ever expected my fiance (sp?) to respect me in any certian way.
Respect is something you earn, not have given to you so it is different with each situation.
We dont have respect issues without reason, before I found room in my life for Christ, I cheated on her and she found out, so for her to not fully trust me to just go out for the day to me is fine because I am surprised she is still having me in her life.
I guess I "expect" her to respect my choice in friends and hobbies. There are friends of mine that I can feel that she doesnt like or trust, but she respects my judgement and new commitment enough to leave me be about them.

As far as me giving her respect? I have never known a more beautiful, loving, caring, and attractive woman in my life, so I do as told, lol

agreed...respect is implicit in trust, but to me, it also means "no talking down"...men don't need a nagging wife, but they need a wife that tactfully asks them to do things. the secret is that respect is the man's love language, and believe me, when the man is respected, the man will love.
