Prayer for my Grandpa - 10/8/2008 10:45:04 AM

My grandpa is 83 he's ben in and out of the hospital several times in the past two months and last night he fell down and broke his hip. He has to have surgery but they don't know if his heart is strong enough to make it through. Please keep him and my mom in your prayers. She will be devastated if he doesn't make it.

Heavenly Father!
You know my state! I am gripped by anxiety over the surgery I have to undergo! I am very much frightened of the outcome!
Master! Your word says that You will strengthen me on my bed of illness and that You will sustain me on my sickbed. Yes Lord! I trust Your word and turn to You for help. Human wisdom and skill are nothing before You. So, please fill the doctors who attend to me with Your divine wisdom Lord so that they can perform the surgery in a perfect manner. Take all those who assist them, in Your hands and keep them as Your instruments in bringing healing to me. I cling to Your promise that You are always with me, wherever I go! You never forget the cry of the humble. Lord! Hold my hand tightly and grant me Your peace so that I can undergo this surgery courageously. I know You will certainly do it because You are the one who perfects everything for me. I totally rest upon You and thank You for being with me. In Your precious name - I pray

Heavenly Father,
Raivyne's family is challenged now by grandpa's broken hip. Help no one outside of grandpa be claiming or feeling any responsibility for what happened leading to his fall- that their be a guilt free sense only of love and care for grandpa while he awaits surgery. Protect him from potential strokes and heart attacks as he undergoes this large surgery (a total hip replacement?), and give him endurance in recovery, that he may return to the active lifestyle he knew up until just recently.

Dear Lord, I pray for raivyne's grandpa, I pray that you lift any pain off him right now. I pray for protection over him, that he is able to have this surgery so that he can make a perfect recovery and have his hip fixed. I pray that this family sticks together and grows even closer to you Lord through all of this. Please be with raivynes mom as she copes with this ordeal of her father breaking his hip, just give her peace and a calmness that she knows is coming directly from you Lord...
