how many of you have been really blessed after reading this awesome book?? as a christian for many years, this book by John Bevere,,"The Bait Of Satan" has really given me a new perspective on my personal walk as a christian, especially when it comes to,offenses & offending God,which this book deals with. i had no idea until i read this book how my offenses kept me from God/Jesus.... you have to read this book & add it to your library. my church just finished up the 12 week dvd study on John Bevere's, "the Bait Of Satan" & it has had a profound affect on the folks who went thru the study.....

I agree, it's a great book. Cogent, insightful, and well-written. But don't be suprised if the heresy hunters show up here to criticize. Threads like these draw 'em like bees to flowers.

A fellow servant of Christ gave me it about 6 years ago, I feel it was wrongly titled, someone needeing a good teaching on forgiveness would scan over it (if they never heard of it) It helped me abit especially when it came time to forgive myself. I would recomend this book to others, However and acording to scripture all teachings must be held against scripture, hold on to the true and astaine from the false. Bevere has taught heretical teachings and even belittled the word. This would be too long if I listed, and my advice (as an apologist) do the resurch yourselves, by doing it youself you not only educate but grow stronger. The spirit of discernment will guide you

I read this a few years ago and as I remember; The Bait of Satan is good in that it explains we must deal with offense and forgive. He pushes the punishment of being stubborn and not forgiving as losing your salvation. For this reason I would not recommend it to new Christians or to those who do not read critically. In a church setting with a teacher that can modify some of what is said in the book would be good.
