I am really not sure where to post this...so I'm taking a shot at posting it here...we'll see if/where the mods move it.... So, today is the day our rent is due. I checked the bank just to make sure that the funds were available...sure enough, something unexpected had been debited and made us THREE DOLLARS short! So, hubby and I were thinking about what to do, and we decided that we'd go write a check, get some cash back to cover the three dollars so that we wouldn't get any insufficient funds fees. I decided to get $10 cash back...so we'd have some "cushion" there... Before I head out, I'm thinking, "It would be really nice to find some money around here somewhere." So, I started prowling through my purse... There was a receipt in there that I had taken out AT LEAST 5 times yesterday, and when I took it out today, $9.00 was wrapped around it!!!! I just looked at it, astonished...my mouth was open...and then I started doing a little dance and saying, "Praise the Lord!" That money was no where to be found yesterday...now, it could have been stuck down too far or whatever that I didn't see it in that little pocket, but I was in and out of that pocket all day yesterday... I don't know where it came from... Well, I do..but I don't, you know what I mean?!??? It's just so amazing how many times I have been so fretted because money was short in one area or another, and something WILD would happen, and the only explanation was God's lovingkindness and being "right on time." Any others want to share your stories about this kind of thing happening to you??

One time I was at new post office I didnt work much, It was after lunch but I had alot people coming in taking all my change...to point I had hardly any...I got what I could out my purse but that soon was gone too... I was nervous because there was still few hours until we closed and at the very time it would get busy....well I just wasnt sure what to do...there was no one working with me...so its not like I could close up and leave... I was out in middle of nowhere lol... So I prayed and just continued to do my job...and then when this nice old lady came in wanting stamps and such...and she was like I brought all this change thinking you could use this...and I thought what a blessing! God is good!!!

We've gotten unexpected cheques in the mail when we were in need of money.

We got an unexpected check in the mail last fall from the in-laws. It was for a significant amount of money and it was a huge blessing. We were not necessarily strapped for cash at the moment, but it was tight plus we had my epidural bill and one other debt we were trying to pay off. We were able to do that plus get vinyl siding and only have to finance a minimal amount of it. Our siding was starting to rot and we just did not know how we were going to be able to afford it so it was a blessing. But, the other blessing was we both had been struggling with tithing. We never stopped and we never will, but we were struggling for several different reasons. I always told hubby if we are faithful to God he is faithful to us. I also told him that doesn't always mean financially either. When we received this check and hubby saw it his eyes filled up with tears. He later told me that was the first thing he thought of was God honoring our faithfulness.

Reminds me of a story a friend told me. She confided in me that she and her hubby had not been tithing for a while because every penny had to go to this that or the other...so they used the money to pay for the bills and stuff.... So, they started to feel conviction about it, tithed again with a large amount to try to make up for lost time, and the very next DAY received a check from a house they had sold that they had overpaid on something...and was just enough to pay their car payment that they had put off to tithe!!! It's amazing how God will bless us when we are true to His commands.

I was mailing flyers and doing all this leg work for a pro-life event for the city I live in. No one was helping hubby and I. We made the copies. We stuffed the envelopes. We took all the phone calls. We bought the stamps. I was praying as I was walking out to my car (after running an errand) asking God if we really should be doing this since no one was stepping up to help. As I am unlocking my car door something on the ground catches my eye. It was a full book of stamps.

When my husband and I were newlyweds, he was working at a hotel attached to an airport. September 11 happened and his company went under. The very week that he lost his job, we got a letter in the mail from his grandmother. She had just realized that she never gave us a wedding present (9 months earlier) and sent a check for $5,000!!! The next semester, my husband and I both worked part time while I finished school and we were able to supliment our income with the money from his grandmother and pay all our bills until the next August when I had my degree and could start teaching.

Awesome to hear all these God stories! We've had too many God things to count. Seriously. My husband often has things for sale in front of our house...tires, rims, snowmobiles, cars, etc. Often they will sit and sit and SIT...until the exact time when we are short. Then someone will come ringing the doorbell with cash in hand. I once found a $100 bill in my coat pocket and there is no way I forgot I put it there...I'd have been devastated it I ever lost track of $100! A couple months ago, we knew we were going to be majorly short on gas money for Brian to get to work if we tithed. I was all for catching up on the tithe later, because surely God knew we needed gas, right? Well, Brian insisted on putting it in...and before we left the church, someone handed him a check for work he had done on their car a month prior (he had left it as a when you are able type thing for payment). It was more than what we needed. Also a couple months ago...Brian's stereo receiver died. We only use it to hook the speakers up to, and didn't want to buy new. All the ones we found on Ebay went for way more than we wanted to spend. We decided we didn't need it that badly and would watch garage sales for it this summer. One day last month, Brian was driving down the road and a guy was bringing a box of electronics out by the road. He got a new system and gave Brian the whole box for free...stereo receiver, nice speakers, etc. Free! Now I know that wasn't a need, but it was confirmation of the feeling we had both had that we did not want to waste money on one. God even takes care of our wants sometimes! God's timing is perfect. I think He does things like that with us regularly so we know we are not relying on ourselves or on others paying us in time...it's all in God's timing, and we have never been without something we needed.

Right after we got married and Micah went off Active Duty money was pretty tight, he wasn't working yet. He had a job interview that he *had* to wear a suit for and we did not have the money. We went and got our mail and there was a $100 from one of my cousins as a late wedding gift, it was just enough to buy a cheap suit at Target. Later, when he was going full time on a commission basis and we were living on bare bones someone sent me a gift card that was intended to be used for Maternity clothes that I desperately needed. I ended up getting a pair of pants and several shirts(5-6) for the $25 that was on the card. It was an incredible amount of clothing and I totally credit God for knowing exactly what we needed and providing for us.

Okay...before I type this let me tell you...I swear it is true.... One day last year, I had someone pay me in cash...so I had approx $200/$300 in cash. (I do not remember the exact amount, but it was alot) I went to the bank, made a deposit...went to the store, bought some groceries...to make a long story short, I lost the money. Totally forgot what I did with it. I was turning my house upside down...crying, not wanting to tell dh that I lost all of that money. I looked, and I looked. It was NOWHERE to be found. FINALLY, I fell to my knees and prayed..."Lord, I know that you see that money...please have mercy and lead me to it" I looked more, cried more...etc. After a while, I had to potty..so off to the toilet I went. I pulled down my pants and the money was there, between my jeans and my underwear. Go figure...God is good, and He has a sense of humor!!!!! No one believes that I didn't put it there...but come on, WHY WOULD I PUT IT THERE???????

This is one of my favorite subjects. God ALWAYS HAS and ALWAYS WILL take care of His Children! Over the years . . . I have come home to my entry way being completely filled with bags of groceries - fresh fruits and veggies, fresh meats, frozen foods, paper products, bath products, laundry products - all stuff that I used, product-wise and brand name-wise. THAT was an anonymous gift. I have come home (different home, different state) to an envelope full of cash; hundreds of dollars; right down to the very specific amount I needed at the time. THAT was an anonymous gift. The cool thing about the above two . . . NO ONE other than Our Lord and me knew there were such needs; NO ONE. The other cool things is that they were anonymous; I LOVE anonymous gifting; and I try to do that as often as possible when I gift someone. People have given me furniture; often times brand new or closed to new. Someone once showed up at my door with a box springs and mattress; still in it's plastic packaging straight from a high-quality bed shop. Someone once did the same thing with an almost brand new sofa. A friend of mine gave me a car (not new, but still very nice) after I totaled mine and didn't have money to buy another one. People have brought me brand new clothes. I have found money in the oddest places. I have received cash in the mail - anonymously. I have received HUGE client projects out of the middle of nowhere right at the time when I really needed a huge client project. I have had people absolutely refuse to take my money for something; sometimes with very significant amounts. Money and things are so completely unimportant to me. I just don't worry about those things because I know that Our Lord will always take care of me. Likewise, I also know that nothing I have is really mine in the first place; it's Our Lord's - to do with what HE sees fit. If He tells me to give money or something else to someone, then I do it. I try to always listen for when He's telling me to do that. I don't ever want to not be obedient to that. And besides, it truly brings me a lot of pleasure . . . especially if I can do it anonymously.

A long time ago, my husband and I went to Wal-Mart. At the time, our car was broke down, and we had a pickup truck. The truck had one of the triangle windows missing...you know, those beside the regular window that are like "vents." Anyway, someone wrote a note to us, pushed it through the window apparently, with some money. So, we came out of Wal-Mart, and I was the first to get in the truck. I picked up the money and said, "What is this?" Then we read the note. The note was not signed, but said that he/she felt as if the Lord was leading them to give it to us. It is just amazing reading all of these stories and seeing how God takes care of us even when things seem really bad. I have come to realize than in the bleakest of times, He shines through with whatever our need...He never leaves us or forsakes us.
