I wanted to sing this song at church this morning. But I had surgery on my knee on Friday and didn't know how I would be feeling. I'm doing fine. But nevertheless, I'll share some of the words to the song here. Stuart Townend wrote it.

It is the day to not only remember our earthly fathers but also our Heavenly Father Who showed us what fatherly love looks like.

How deep the Father's love for us,
how vast beyond all measure,
that He should give His only Son
to make a wretch His treasure.
How great the pain of searing loss,
the Father turns His face away,
as wounds which mar the chosen One
bring many sons to glory.

On this day I am so thankful for my Heavenly Father Who gave me an earthly father who truly showed me what love, Godstyle looks and lives like. My earthly father has gone on to glory but I am eternally grateful.

Lovely song. I'm glad your surgery went well.
