I logged into my student "portal" to check my email, and they have a little sidebar on the right that's just for articles from or concerning our university. I usually ignore them, but one caught my eye. It was a ranking article that put us at #27 on a list, but looking at the list, it says that many of those who make rankings for universities do it the wrong way. (I'm assuming they are saying that THEY did it right though.) It's on Forbes.com. (I think there are three different lists, depending on what kind of university/school you're looking for)... How to Choose a College: The most popular rankings use the wrong measures. The list links are at the bottom. I'm just wondering though, how DO they rank them, and what is the "right" way? I've always wondered that about US News/World Report.
