Good morning, Maggie. Thanks for starting us out this week with such a great verse. Pastor's sermon was on this yesterday . . well, based out of Phillipians 4, but on how we need to commit everything into His hands -- and leave it there, not take it back to worry about it or try to fix it on our own. And on that note, I'm off to pray

Boy I needed that this morning. I dread going to work. My house is dirty. Does that make me a lazy person?

Good Monday Morning Everyone I did'ent make it to church yesterday, so thanks for the verse Maggie Was busy watching my sweet granddaughters. Wanted to take them along to church with me, but it timeing did'ent work for my son. They needed to come and pick-up the girls before church let out. I had them Friday night for a few hours. Then I got them back Sat. afternoon and they were here overnight. Lily slept through the night, but Emma woke up twice. She is teething and alittle cranky at times. But still a darling. Lily followed "Ma-Na" around where-ever I went...and Emma was pretty content to sit in the baby saucer, or johnny jump-up, most of the morning. When they woke up yesterday morning they both wanted to eat right away. I fed Emma her baby cereal, and Lily had some oatmeal with applesauce mixed in it. we went outside to take some fall pictures in my garden. Got some pretty good shots of them both. Sat. afternoon we went for a walk. They both love it outside. It was so great to beable to "play" with them. Me and Lily painted our fingernails, and she found some of grandmas earings she wanted in. Small little studs, that looked so pretty on her. I let her keep them. So that's waht I did this week-end. But I did manage to go to a craft sale Sat. morning, before the girls got here. The town also had many rummage sales. I managed to get to a few. And I also got to visit the goodwill store. I needed a small TV stand and found one there. It was a pretty productive morning. Found some pretty cute clothes for the grandkids at them rummage sales even. The sweaters I found for the girls came in handy Sat. afternoon. Howie and Amanda forgot to sent jackets for the girls. So when we took our walk, I used them sweaters for them. It's jacket..sweater time in Wisconsin. My husband has been dealing with a sore elbow for awhile now. It even swells up on him. So I finally talked him into going to the doctor and haveing it checked out once. Made his appt. for tomorrow morning. Keep him up alot last night. Hope the doctor can figure out what he has done to it, and fix it. I took that new rug shampooer over to dads yesterday afternoon. I cleanned his upstairs liveingroom area, and downstairs kitchen, along with a small bedroom downstairs. Just have to do his downstairs livingroom yet. He was pretty impressed with the cleanner. So that was my birthday gift to him. (He turned 73 years old this last Sat)

Into the Father's hands I commit my husband. This weekend I took back some long stolen ground... Hi everyone! How was your weekend? Everyone make it to church? I made it to the Saturday night service at the big church and to the Sunday service of the little church. I feel better emotionally after missing all of those weeks. I took control of some of the marital madness this weekend and stopped playing victim. I emerged a tiger and I think it really floored my hubby. He was super sweet after that. The highlights are that he got reminded that my mom owns the house and he's no longer in charge. (Honestly, if you tell someone you no longer love them and you want a divorce...how can you expect to keep their respect and remain in authority?) He gave up the right to be the head of the household. I'm not doing this out of spite. I still want him to be the head, but, I believe God wants me get tough, but, to also back away. I wonder if I have gotten in the way at all. This time I feel very confident that I'm doing the right thing. I know he is already battling in his heart and spirit, but I think this is a form of letting him go so that God can have full charge of him. My husband needs to learn that there are consequences for walking away from the God of Heaven....and he will learn too, that there is mercy. Anyway, I don't think he knew I had it in me..... Still no word about the store, so I concentrate on e-Bay. I pray that it will generate enough money for me to invest in the storefront. I see the economy is bad, but, that may actually work in my favor. It may cause me to be able to make an unheard of deal! I believe God can work it all out. Trouble is that I'm impatient and want my items in a store...... There's going to be a bad frost tonight so the kids picked what's left in the garden. That means I've got about two days to process it. Lots of kale and underdeveloped beets. Some underdeveloped cabbage too. We had already picked the winter squash and pumpkins. (Not a big crop this year.....) It's COLD here! When did that happen? Oh well....it was bound to happen soon..... Hope you all have a great evening!

I've had a migraine all day, my face feels flush and my chest tight. Do you think it's the stress I've been under?

Ginny, it sure could be the stress you're under. But don't overlook other potential causes. Momma Mo, congratulations for standing up to hubby. Good for you!

Hi Maggie, Leah, Ginny, Barb, and Momma-mo! It was a pretty good weekend. I made it to church, but I was in the nursery all morning. Thankfully not too many kids so it was OK. I started sewing some curtains for my son. We bought the camo fabric for them over a year ago. But I don't think I can do anything else until I know what kind of hardware is going up for them. We had ortho appointments for two of my kids after school. Wed. my oldest has a dermatologist appt in the same town. Tomorrow I have an appointment there. Saturday I had to take son there to meet hubby after work for a scout thing. I'm ready to stay home. Prayers for tomorrow would be appreciated; my biopsy is scheduled for 9:45AM. Central time. Dee

Hope you are feeling better today Leah and got a good night's rest. Maggie praying for you too. Barb, prayers for hubby being said too. Did you know as believers we have a special line to God? My life group teaching time was on prayer. Never knew that God didn't listen to prayers until you were a believer in Christ and one of his except for the sinner's prayer. God listens to that. Anyway I am still processing that information. Not feeling well still but am going to work. Will see if I come home sick. If this headache gets worse I will.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone. We've got a bit of misty rain going here, or it's still so damp from last night's rain it feels like mist, not sure which. It's 64, so not terribly cold, but fall has definitely arrived. Barb, will pray for hubby's elbow -- is it any better? Dee, am praying for your biopsy, and that you will be able to spend more time at home relaxing this week. Momma-Mo, it sounds good that you were able to stand up to him . . and yes, sometimes we do have to fight and take back stolen territory. And a home & marriage is sure a worthy cause. {{{{{{Maggie}}}}}} I hope you are feeling better when you finish with your time with God this morning. Ginny, am praying for you this week, and that your migraine is all gone. And yes, I am feeling much better this morning; thanks for asking. I just overdid it a bit -- it was probably getting down on my hands & knees & crawling around cleaning the furniture legs . . but it had to be done. I went to sleep soon after going to bed, which I think was around 8:30. Bill woke me briefly when he came to bed, tho I'm not sure what time that was. At 12:30 he woke me again . . seems I was snoring and he couldn't sleep. So I moved to the living room, tho didn't go back to sleep for a couple of hours. When I next woke at 6:00 I just was too tired to go to the gym, so I set my alarm for 7:00 & went back to bed on the sofa. Someone called at 6:45 & woke me, and I feel quite functional now, so I guess I'm going to make it . . . . I think, tho, the most stenuous thing I'll do today is drive to the library Actually, I have already put a load of laundry in, have one more load to do, have several pair of jeans to hem, then a sweater I need to work on, tho not quite sure how I'll cut off & hem sleeves on a knitted sweater . . . I have done it once before, tho, so will try the same thing on this one. Garrett is here, watching Dora the Explorer . . maybe that will keep him occupied long enough to get some of that done.

Thanks for the prayers all. The biopsy went fine. I should hear the results on Thursday. Momma-mo, I think our society in general is short on accountability in many areas. I'm glad hubby is doing better. I hope you are feeling better Ginny. I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight Leah. Dee

Good morning, Barb . . . the sun is shining nicely here, tho we also had rain most of the day yesterday. That's too bad about your hubby, but the x-ray will hopefully show the problem. I can say from my own experience, tho, that ppl who don't go to the doctor much will very often expect too much when they do go -- instant answers/results. Many times there just are no quick answers. I made it to the gym this morning, and I got quite a lot of sewing done yesterday. Melissa is coming out this morning to get a Great Pyrennes dog from an adoption agency she found on the net. Actually, she came out yesterday, but they'd told her the wrong day, so it was pretty much a wasted trip. She's had such a time trying to find a dog to replace the one she lost to cancer a few months ago. Hopefully, this one will be 'the one', and she can take her home to enjoy her. And I also hope she gets to spend more time here today than she did yesterday. We'll see.

Barb, I had a doctor for years that I highly respected. He once told me (we were talking about education in general) that the important thing isn't to have all the information memorized but rather, to know where to find it. I've since learned that even Emergency doctors often have to check resources to know how to diagnose or treat. Some carry palmtops in their pockets with all the resource books, easily searchable, at their fingertips. Things change so fast in our world today that there's no way anyone can know all there is to know, even in their own field of specialty. My psychiatrist routinely looks in one of her books to find specific details of something she can't remember.

I took off sick yesterday. The migraine was bad. Today I already had as a personal day. I've spent it in bed resting. Off and on I have waves of pain in my chest. Sometimes it feels like their is a vise grabbing my heart. My head is the same way. When the wave comes I would document the pain level as an 8. I called my doctor's nurse to ask her when should I seek medical attention when I have a migraine and chest pains.

{{{{{{{{{Ginny}}}}}}}}}} . . . what did the doctor's office say??? Please tell me they got back to you on this! I'm so sorry this is going on, Ginny, but you need to find out what it is soon. How thoughtless of dh asking you that when you felt too bad to even keep your previous appointment

Ginny's son took her to Emergency last night. Since she hasn't been back on here since then, I wonder how she is. Lord, protect her!
