This Sunday I will be involved with a Cardboard Testimony. At first I was a little afraid and I have attended church for two Sundays now and I can not tell you how my life is changing. The old part of my life keeps popping up but soon it will be gone for ever. When the old life is emptied out the space is filled with good. I can feel the emptiness gone and the true light of happiness. I just hope one day I can help a person that is in need and be there for them to help that person receive the gifts of grace and freedom that I have experienced. Every day I read the Bible and the more I read the more I change. My life was a mess and it is getting better and the peace is growing every day. I had to tell someone so I said it and that is that.

For every pit we stumble into, I believe the Lord sets pillars up to remind us of His good promises and good works in our lives.

Glorious! Testimonies like yours are too rarely today. I'm encouraged.

I forgot to add...

Thank you for posting your testimony. It was encouraging for me to read it as I was feeling a bit discouraged today from reading posts from other not-so encouraging threads.

Thank you for sharing your testimony with us. It is awesome that God is working in your life, just stay in His word, prayer, and fellowship with God's people and continue in that walk. What an awesome God we serve.

Hello skirk55

I'm not sure just what you mean by a cardboard testimony. I assume it's a way of saying an empty or inconsequential one. But let me tell you. Many people read the Bible and are changed little. Many have attended church all their lives and change little.

But you are being prepared for something above the average. You know already that the Lord wants you to reach out to others. So, I would eliminate that word "cardboard," that is if I interprete the term right.

This has been a life changing event. I went to church for the first time at this church and it took me three weeks to do it. The first Sunday the sermon was about fences. How fences are used and what they do. Then the question what fence keeps you from God? identify the fence and jump over and do not let anything stop you. The next week I told them I would give my testimony in front of the church. The fence is I am afraid to be in front of people and new places. I have the cardboard made out and I am afraid but Jesus is with me and I do trust him. The pastor has given me a tool to tell everyone what my sins were and how God has freed me of this. I also joined a Bible Study and a faith group. I now feel what it means to be a new Born Christian. In two weeks I will be Baptized also. Things are moving fast and I love it. These are true gifts. Every night I pray for sinners like me they are lost sheep and do not know or understand. This was Gods will that changed me and I will help in any way to reach out to a person like me. I have been given a job at church and I am a coffee attendant. I make sure the coffee and creamer is full. But the main thing is to meet people and tell them what has happened in my life. The ministry wants me talking to people and meeting people. This is something I have never done in my life I was afraid and not a people person. With the help of God he has moved me to be up front and meeting new people every day. This is a small thing in this world but a big difference in my life. The area that is the hardest is reading the Bible. I have a lot of work ahead of me and can't stop reading it. Thank you all for the kind words and prayers.

I gave mt testimony today at all three services and the response was unbelievable. When I was standing in line back stage I was scared to do it but I looked around and I was a stranger with people that also received Jesus and then everything was very calming. I have never experienced anything like this. If anyone has a chance at Church please do it get involved. Do not miss this. If your church has never made a cardboard testimony talk to them about it and do it. I will always remember this testimony and thank God for the chance to do it.
