How many like Bill Cosby? He has great humor and perspective. He is really good actor also. Some of my favorite bits from him have been:

  • The Dentist
  • Natural Child Birth
  • Noah!

I used to love watching "The Cosby Show" a looong time ago! Have you read any of his books? Of course, he's more funny in person when you can see his facial expressions along with the material. He is a classic in the comedy genre, for sure.

Hi CM! No, I have never read any of his books at all. I agree with you though, his facial expressions are priceless!

Bill Cosby is hilarious.. He's got good clean humor. Nothing more funny than everyday things that happen.. and then there's his facial expressions.. I have to agree with CM.. He's quite the character

Remember "Chocolate Cake"?

His kids asked for chocolate cake for breakfast and he let them because "it was good for you". He said it has eggs, milk, flour... all good things in it. Can't you just see him justifying it?

I think the kids made up some mantra - "Dad is great; He lets us eat Chocolate Cake"!

That was great, especially at the end where he said "ever hear of someone having a conniption? Well you never want to see one!"

I liked him on the Jello ads! We watched the Cosby show a long time ago, I forget when it was on. I think we might have seen the original, I don't know. We saw them in the 90s, then again in 2001 when we had a Brazilian exchange student staying with us. He loved to watch it because he could understand all the jokes.

I watch as much of the re-runs as I can on TVland. 8:00 pm every night (2 shows). I know them all by heart now, but it's soooo good to watch it again.

One of my most favourite parts was when his wife addressed Sondra's husband - Elvin (after he made a sexist comment) and she told him if he continues with that attitude he'll never have "anyone, doing anything, anytime, anywhere, ever." How she said it was what made it a TV moment to remember .

I remember that. It was a great moment!

I also remember Rudy sitting at her bedroom door while Denise and Theo were tussling inside. When her parents came up and asked what she was going on she said "Fight, fight" - like they do in school. She was so precious! Sigh. I miss that show.
