I bought THIS bike. I have been riding it for the past couple of weeks for 3 or 4 miles at a time (including some hills) and I really enjoy it. Eventually, I'll ride it to work. Any other bikers out there? Tips?

Monamie, I have a link to a Christian Bicycler group at my site http://Christianiron.com. I'm not a biker, but the site looks good

I have a bike but don't ride often enough to be called a biker I think.

I just purchased a stationary bike and a regular bike a few weeks ago. I rode for 16 miles yesterday on a bike trail saw some bunnies it was very enjoyable. I'm trying to lose 25lbs. I started at 144lbs and I'm down to 139.5 lbs. now. Riding helps the back and waist also from what I have read which explains the pain in my lower back and some pain in my abs. I eat mostly ham sandwhich meat, salads, catfish, tuna, shrimp, chicken, turkey burgers, black beans and once in a while a steak and some veggies. When I eat rice its brown rice and I'm thinking of trying whole wheat pasta too. I eat whole wheat bread already for sandwiches. I splurge sometimes and have a waffles or a plate of fries or some kind of dessert. Just not twice in the same week. Fruit smoothies are pretty good and healthy. I grill or bake all meat and I bake the fries too. Don't skimp on butter at all. I have a treadmill and a ton of Billy Blank and Turbo Jam DVD's but I really like the bike for now. On nice days I can go out on a trail and on bad ones sit and ride indoors while watching an hour television program or a movie. So far thats my program and it seems to be doing fine and I'm not depriving myself of anything except for maybe desserts on a regualar basis.
