I'm not sure if this verdict won't be overturned later, but as one who fully believes Simpson committed a double murder in the '90s, I'm happy to see him go up the river - perhaps for the rest of his natural life. http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/10/04/oj.simpson.verdict/index.html

As one who also believes he was guilty of murder, it is good to see him convicted on these counts. But the deeper issue is him making things right with the Ultimate Judge.

I did feel quite a sense of satisfaction in justice finally, sort of, being served.

This one was kinda of a slam dunk, while the first one was jury nullification. Thanks RC

whether or not he was guilty of Nicole and Ron goldman's murder, the jury found him guilty of this. God cannot be mocked. it sounds like God heard somebody's prayer.

Ironically, this verdict came 13 years to the day of Simpson's acquittal for his double murder case. I'm kind of surprised the jury delivered it on a Saturday. I thought most courts did not conduct business on weekends.

Unfortunately, Simpson and his lawyers are going to appeal and probably on two fronts. One, the jury was "all white" and thus they were bias towards the "black man" and made their dicision based on race not on the facts. The second argument they will probably try is to argue that because of his previous trial 13 years ago, and the publicity of that, it was impossible for him to get a fair trial as too many people wanted to see him in prison. That all being said I hope they lose the key when they lock him up, and only allow prison ministry folk to visit him, so hopefuly he will repent from his actions here on earth before it is too late.

Looks like I was right... Simpson to Appeal quote:
Galanter said he believes Simpson has a strong argument for reversal of his conviction because of legal errors made during the trial, beginning with the jury selection process. He said issues to be raised on appeal will include the elimination of all African-Americans from the jury and the inclusion of jurors who believed that Simpson should have been convicted of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, in a 1995 Los Angeles trial.

Well they are right about 1 thing- it would be hard to find 10 people anywhere in the same town to believe he was not a murderer and a liar. There will never be justice for the Goldman family but I do hope he goes to jail and meets someone just like him.
