Would like to know what everyone's favorite movie series is? Can only list 10 options in the poll, so if there are others, please note. I did not list animations because there are too many to list; ie: Shrek, Toy Story, etc.

Where is "Lord of the Rings?" Those movies are my absolute favorite!

also thanks for leaving out LOTR, those movies were ultra long and slow.

I'm sorry, but it's all about the original Star Wars trilogy...followed closely by Indiana Jones and Back to the Future.
LOTR was the longest most drawn out set of movies ever made.
Every Batman and Spiderman movies were just plain awful (however, I have higher hopes for the newest Batman movie coming out than for any of the other ones).

Lord of the Rings, hands down, with Star Wars a close second. LOTR was like putting the novel on the screen. The look of the characters and the sets were like they walked right out the pages.
I do wish Lucas would redo the Star Wars movies and ditch Jar Jar and the Ewoks. Then, he would have possibly taken first.

Star Wars, Back to the Future - also good.
Harry Potter series is also really good - and they've got two more movies to go.

I love Indiana Jones. We have all three on laser disk (bethcha didn't think anyone had one of those anymore!)
I also love the Harry Potter series. (By the way Faun, I have a love/hate relationship with your avatar)

Lord of the Rings. For sure.
But the Bourne series wasn't on the list! That's one of my faves.
Also great is POTC (minus the second one) and Star Wars.

Gotta agree with the Sox fan. Bond rules. Pink Panther, minus the Steve Martin fiasco, is also near the top of the list.

LOTR was awesome!!! I did like the original Star Wars trilogy, but their were some weaknesses in the follow-ups. I did like the origin of Darth Vader in the second trilogy (now known as I-III).
I also liked the Matrix trilogy, Spidey and X-Men trilogies as well.

This was a tough poll. I love Star Wars, Rocky, Indiana Jones, James Bond, Batman (with the exception of Batman and Robin) and Back To The Future. I picked James Bond though because it is the longest running movie series and I was named after the author of James Bond. The new guy they have for James Bond is incredible. Its almost like Sean Connery all over again and its about time. One series I didn't see on the list that I like is the Saw series. A bit morbid but very well done.

If Lord of the Rings took place in space with levitating robots and such, then it would be a competitor to Star Wars.
