If it's not too presumptuous of me, it seems a main goal of recording artists is “becoming famous”. Being a new Christian recording artist myself, I try to resist such preoccupations. I am calling myself “The Unknown Disciple” partly because my heart’s desire is to make the Name of Jesus famous!
Yet there is a tension that can’t be avoided. I want to use my music to raise money for the poor, in Jesus’ Name. I’d love to raise millions, but how can I do that without attracting some level of fame for myself? I guess I’ll trust God and take it one step at a time. Please pray for my humility! : )
I would be grateful and honored if you would listen to the songs I’ve completed so far. I have to choose which songs to include on the CD and I am seeking “the counsel of many”. Just go to the link below in my salutation, reply here, or register at the bulletin board and post your comments there. Which songs do you like the best? Maybe we could become famous together (if we absolutely have to, that is!).

Is it me, or there was this guy named BarlowSomething21, whatever, who got in trouble here for something like that two months ago?? Yes, HawkNelson, you thought he was spamming...oh, it's me, BarlowGuy25! So, let's apologize, Ray...
I'm sowwy.
I think I get in trouble at CCM and BarlowGirl's own SoundPost for this same thing...wanting my band to be FAMOUS, FAMOUS, FAMOUS. Especially the Ladies...the most vehemently anti-success band ever! We always forget the best and main purpose of CCM artists...PRAISING JESUS.
Amen to that??
