Like someone touched on in a post in another thread, it's cultish like, truly don't act like Christians ought to act. It's like they're talking without thinking, very robotic like, taking what they've heard on "Fox News" and just talking the talking points or subliminal messages like it's truth...very scary. Politics aside, this is a representation of a real America, where majority of the supporters at the McCain/Palin rallies are white. At least at Obama/Biden rallies, you see a true representation of American, a good number of people of all nationalities... to me, that says alot.

Ruwanda. Groupthink. Hypnotism. Caused people to act without reason. people killing their neighbors and infants. Same thing. I know some people would like to cover up that fact. But some people feel the conservative right can do no wrong.

Agreed... politics aside, I don't understand how someone cannot see how scary those people's thinking and attitudes in those videos are.

Could we please come up with a differnent insult for the Right then they are ignorant and brainwashed and whatever other nonsense you can throw at them. It was old long before Bush came into office. I would love for you to explain to me how me supporting McCain/Palin is group think when I 1. Don't watch Fox news, 2. Have not gone to a rally for them, 3. Go to a secular Univeristy where everywhere I turn around I see Obama Propaganda, and get it from the Proffessors. Besides I bet if someone took the time to go to Obama rallies you could get just as good as sound bites of hate from the Liberal against Conservitives.

No one said they are ignorant, brainwashed, maybe. Can you honsetly tell me you see nothing wrong in those videos and the other videos of their rallies this week? If not, well I just don't know what to say...

Like I said if someone took the time to go to Obama rallies you could find just as much hate toward the right. I was not defending them, and I will agree its wrong, but don't lump all of us McCain/Plain supporters into the same group

Maybe you could say what you see wrong for starters. I thought those videos were amaturish and senseless. The guy is hounding people for an "Obama is a terrorist confession" and he wasn't getting much cooperation until he repeated it over and over again.

The guy asks "why is John McCain standing on a stage with Obama" ....yea I'm riveted to hear the answer to that.

Why waste people's time with something that is so off topic and irrelevant?

I've seen a few of your posts here, including the thread about the "lynch mob", are you trying to pick fights and insult people that don't agree with you? I'm not white and I am going to vote for McCain. I don't know how often I hear these types of statements. You know, older, white, male or red-neck ignorant fools are voting for McCain, just look at the crowds at his rallies. I happen to be young, female, and Asian and I am definitely not voting for Obama. I know other people who are minorities that are voting McCain as well.

So please enlighten the rest of us as to how this "says a lot" to you.

Color of the skin, gender, or age does not factor into who's going to vote for whom come election day.

I agree with what another poster stated, simply because you have these dumb youtube videos of ignorant McCain supporters does NOT mean all McCain supporters are like this. That's like saying all Obama supporters think Obama can save the world.

How would you like it if I started saying things like, "All those Obama supporters, they're blinded by the light of their Obama-savior." or "The Great O has spoken and they follow blindly, even over a cliff".

Doesn't sit well when you are on the receiving end of statements like that is it?

First of all, you really need to calm down. I didn't want to address you personally in this forum as you did me, but I feel I have to speak up for myself. I'm in no way way trying to pick a fight with anyone, although it seems like you're trying to pick one with me. I in no way said or implied as you wrote: I'm not white and I am going to vote for McCain., I have a mind of my own and race is a non issue with me, I don't care if someone is a different race or whatever, that doesn't make a difference with me if I'm not going to vote for them or such silliness. Heck, the guy I've been dating for quite some time is white and Republican. I respect him and his desicions and he does the same way with me. I have my reasons for not voting for McCain and have now chosen to support Obama and it's not because McCain is white, it's some of his polocies that I disagree with. Though I disagree with policies (which he's stated and not hearsay policies that some take as fact about Obama) he'll try to implement, I don't try to belittle his character. That's a bit different than what's shown here and elsewhere. I in no way have written that all McCain/Palin supporters are ignorant or like those in those videos or on the news. I know that not all McCain/Palin supporters are not like that, I'd be an idoit and close-minded person to think so. Look, I'm not even a registered democrat, but I have voted many times for people from different parties, so please don't try to label me when you don't know me.

All I do know is that what's been going on this week is unreal and scary and I really don't think it was wrong of me to ask the question that I asked about the lynch mob mentality, as shown in the videos above, at the rallies during the week. It's very noticeable and very disturbing not only to me, but to many of different races, including whites, and party affiliations in this country. It's a road we really don't want to trod. In fact majority of Americans fear that such things that have been said and exhibited at those rallies, all the anger based on fear tactics that have thrown in the mix about insinuating Obama associates with terrorists, attacking his character by throwing around fallacies. Look at what some have come to the conclusion because of all of this saying he's a terrorist, I don't trust him because he's an Arab, don't feel safe with him running the country, all caused by fear tactics that bring out racisim. None of this is in line with God's word, and yes, I'm a little sadded by those who call themselves Christians who said those type of things at those rallies. So, I'm sorry you can't take me bringing up what's happening and asking if it's not wrong or un Christian like.

Anyway, as for example about Obama supporters, it's been said here many times just about in every thread in the election forum from members here. I have written against members here who talk about Obama supporters like that and so have a few others... so I really don't know where you're going with that one. As mentioned before, we can discuss politics as Christians, but when you (and I hope Jkdjr25 doesn't mind me using their words):

People just want any reason at all to spout hateful nonsense unders the guise of "wanting the truth" They want to be able to disparage Obama for any and all reasons they can come up with and wouldn't even remotely tolerate the same being said about McCain.

That's what I see...

God bless.
