1) I'm about to apply for a job in Washington that would take me there for 3 years. Leaving my old Ma living alone at nearly 70 years old.
It's a good job, good experience professionally and personally. Also recently had a word from someone at church that they saw in prayer that an overseas job was imminent for me.
2) I've just received an email inviting me to an interview for a Social Work trainee scheme over here.
Demanding but satisfying work, decent salary eventually, a qualification that no-one could take away.
I don't know what I want. I'm a bit scared. I get excited about one then the other. All I can think of to do is:
1) Apply for Washington and see if I get through the sift
2) Go to the Social Work interview.
3) Pray.
I really want something to happen this year ( actually I want to find a partner, but I can't see that happening so I'll settle for this).

Bringing God into the picture at this point in your life is going to build something eternal into your spirit. I join my prayers to yours for wisdom, and clarity.

Thanks RJR! I have been praying and the desire to go to Washington has definitely faded. I've got a social work interview that I've been preparing for, so I guess that's the answer. The closing date for Washington is 31 March and I haven't written an application statement or discussed it with my manager so I guess that one's definitely off!

well i think the desire fading is an answer to your prayers :) maybe not the answer you wanted but at least you seem to know now. i'm kinda skeptical of only relying on someone else's personal prophecy about my life. not prophecy in general but it seems too often people go around revealing to others what they think God shared to them about someone else. hearing from God is much more reliable in my opinion :) good luck on the social work interview...

I didn't get the job. They called on Monday and it came down to a lack of experience. I was disappointed but God is good because I just accepted it and started looking for something else. Just gotta keep trying to hear his voice.
